My all but finished dining room
Comments (32)great job! It looks like your house was built like that! I love the colors you have chosen as well. I like shades on chandeliers. I put them on my brass one and felt like it updated it enough for now. Gorgeous room! I recognised the amaryllis. As a grower you may be interested to know that my great great uncle had one in his parlor that was a good 10 inches around at the base. This was back in the 70s and he was 97 and I was 19. He had had it for over 20 years. he would pot up the babies that would grow out the side. he kept it in the parlor year round watered from the bottom never moving it. btw that parlor had beautiful stained glass panels in it! It was gorgeous when it bloomed - 5 stalks of red blooms at once!...See MorePopcorn ceiling cracked between foyer/dining room
Comments (3)Dining room. Added medallion. The two areas where the light fixtures are hanging, are the only areas that you can see, where the popcorn was removed. The rest of the ceiling was covered. This post was edited by donnasophia on Tue, Oct 29, 13 at 17:38...See MoreRound dining room table
Comments (39)HI Parma, your dining room is beautiful. I really like your table, the rug, and your accent chair. Upon seeing your rug, I would have to say that I don't think my chairs would go well with that rug. It's hard to tell onscreen, but I tried scrolling back and forth and I just don't see the two being the best fit. Are you planning to keep that rug? If so, I have to say that I would keep looking for a different chair. :o( It might be easiest to find a chair you like first, IF you are wanting a patterened (sp??) chair. And then find a complimentary rug after that. I do love your rug, so maybe you have another area you could use that rug in?? Of course, those are just my thoughts. I am by no means a professional. I just know that when I was shopping for a set, it was difficult for me to find chairs that I really loved. So I found them first, and will get my drapes and wall prints to go with. But that's just my process. Maybe I'm going about it all wrong. LOL! :O) So what do you think? Are you going to take the plunge and order? I'm so happy you found a good price. Let me know if you do indeed order. And who knows. If you get the chairs, you may find that the rug and the chairs look great together in the end. Things DO look different online than in person, that's for sure. :o) Keep us posted. I can't wait to see your finished room. It's definitely my taste, and I can surely see "my" chairs in your space. :o)...See MoreHelp me design my Great Room [Dining and Living Room Combo]
Comments (14)The table top in your inspiration pic caught my attention. It's not the usual furniture showroom table top. I really like this cedar "countertop" and was wondering if something like it might work as a table top or as a top of a rolling cart island that could work as kitchen prep space and/or guest dining if not as a table. http://www.devoswoodworking.com/designing-wood-countertops/wane-edges.html Legs could be bought separately. https://carolinalegco.com/products/x-metal-table-legs-set-of-2-modern-industrial-legs-custom-sizes-available?variant=32186224640097&currency=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_term=&utm_campaign=DR_PLA_Smart_200%25&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=7051262680&hsa_cam=9915659242&hsa_grp=103137792649&hsa_ad=432122759881&hsa_src=u&hsa_tgt=pla-296303633664&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI6p_wwNPU6gIVgbbICh0T8w-jEAsYAyABEgIkX_D_BwE...See Moreelcieg
