Overwhelmed choosing a kitchen faucet

Getting towards the end of the design phase and can’t figure what faucet to get… too many options. How does one choose? The faucet needs to complement a Koehler Whitehaven white cast iron enamel sink, granite countertops (gray and white tones), cabinets that will have aged brass hardware, and a matte white CAFE rangetop with brass knobs. I’m hoping whatever I get will last a long time. Do I go with a single hole pullout, or one with a side spray, or maybe even a bridge. All suggestions welcome, or maybe you can point me to a good guide for selecting a new faucet. Thank you in advance.

The simpler the design, the easier to clean. I would do a high arch pull out single handle. Not #1

Does the drain have to be far right? Ruvati makes very nice sinks...go a little bigger! They have a 28" size. While the darker granite composite sinks are pretty indestructible, the white and cream ones stain easily and are harder to clean. If I were only choosing white/cream sink, I would get enameled cast iron. I don’t think a white sink will look that great with the OP’s choice of counter. To the OP - Cambria Skara Brae is a pretty contemporary look. I would choose a black granite composite sink like the Blanco Silgranit anthracite color to set it off, and I’d choose a polished faucet finish like polished chrome (not a brushed finish) so that the faucet gleams like jewelry on black velvet with the counter and black sink. Here are photos of the OP’s choice of counter. I could only find pics of it with stainless steel sinks which the OP says she doesn’t want.

Ohhh I love kitchen renovations. I just finished mine. I have had so much fun because i am a big nerd when it comes to restoring something as well as incorporating something new into something old. I managed to make something truly magnificent this time with an old rustic interior and modern kitchen appliances that blend one into another. M Miller, you are right, I didn’t mention the cost because I assumed if the op was considering Waterstone they were aware of the cost. When I purchased the WS eight years ago I couldn’t find anything that compared. In our new home I’m using the Kohler Artifacts that has a similar look at a more reasonable cost. HU-891276262, Houzz photos take forever to upload. I was successful the second time. I hope this helps. I love my Waterstone but as much as I love it this time around I chose a Kohler Artifact with thetop lever as it gets better reviews. I also considered the Brizo Artessio. There is no need as far as function goes to spendan amount that makes you uncomfortable. i was willing to spend that much back then because I wanted that finish. This time around I’m going with a finish that’s easy to find. Good luck in your search, I’m sure you’ll be pleased with your choice!

No, do not shop online for a faucet you will use every day for the next 10+ years! Find a couple of local plumbing supply showrooms and go look at their floor displays. Some look pretty in photos, but aren't comfortable to use. You also want to pay close attention to the height, extension and angle of the spout.

Or, if there’s a Ferguson’s nearby, that’s a great place, as they have more faucets on display than I’ve seen anywhere…plus very helpful, knowledgable staff.

A faucet is what, a couple hundred bucks out of tens of thousands in a new kitchen?

Now don't get me wrong, I understand that a few hundred here, a few hundred there is how you GET to tens of thousands of dollars, but......a faucet these days is a fixture that pretty much screws in place from the water lines to the mounting plate. Changing it out takes 30 mins or less and will not require you to sell your kidney.

Pick one. If you hate it, get a new one in a few years. It just isn't worth much angst.

And think about how many holes you want drilled in your granite.

#4 faucet, the Newport brass cross handled one, requires 4 holes and, ideally, full time household cleaning staff. If/ when it breaks, the finish goes icky or you decide to hate it--- you will have four holes to fill up vastly limiting your choices for a replacement.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. There is a Ferguson Showroom not too far from me I plan to visit next week. I agree that I need to see in person, and also do not want multiple holes drilled in the granite.
