Twinkle, I wonder if Shaker Beige HC-45 from BenM might be a good chip for you to take a look at. It looks good with BenM's Decorator White and your description of the cabs kind of sounded like Decorator's White to me. I also like Powdered Pebbles from Ellen Kennon - plays well with a lot of other colors. Hard to tell if it's warm or cool or both - it's one of *those* kinds of colors. Two very different beiges/taupes to experiment with. Randita, when you were talking about lilac my first thought was Inspired AF-595 from BenM. I've often wondered why most lilac paint colors look nothing like a real lilac. ??? Inspired does remind me of one of the colors you'd see in a lilac. Gettin' all Mother Nature-y with color reference again. :) I totally agree that there is A LOT to personal color, authentic color. I have been on Jennifer Butler's website eleventy million times. Some day I would LOVE to do something like that for myself. I like the way she talks about color. The inner essence, alignment, authentic self stuff is all right up my ally. This blurb from her site is excellent: "Up to 55% of communication is visual. In order to be seen and heard 100% there must be a congruence between your inner self, your message, and your external presentation." So very fun.

CKGM Wow - you must have thought I abandoned you! I was so busy at work(73 hours that week and I am salary :-( and didn't have access except via phone (I did have a mini comment above) I looked on my phone but somehow missed getting back to you on this lovely and inspirational kitchen. Loving it - I love your backsplash choice and grout now match very nicely with your counter. Your galley is going to be very functional - and you managed to build in a feature that I could not pull off - the little bar at the end of the kitchen with 2 stools. I am only allowing a few items on the counter - DH gets his coffee machine and grinder. We share the paper towels, and I have the banana holder and fruit/veggie double basket - unless I can find a better place for it - the pantry is too warm as the pipes go through the wall. When I finally post my pictures - we have more in common that just Grazia tile - we also have a garden window!! What is your wall color - it looks similar to ours!! And as you know, I am finally out of the ABB club!! A bit of a hijack Fun2learn - there are several places on the east coast that carry the Grazia tile - I did find it at Malsnee Tile near Reading PA (might have a Leesport address but essentially Reading) - Best Tile has numerous shops in the east coast but turned out to be cheaper to ship from Tile-Shop.com in California than from the East coast. Hi, Penelope-- You're right to pick up on the fact that the new gold hardware trend (or even mixed metals) is currently shown most often with crisp white as the palette neutral. I'd recommend going right down the line with Ultra Pure White (also known as untinted base white), sold by every paint manufacturer and so, forever easy to match and touch-up in the future once you match the sheens. Swiss Coffee is the other tone that's available across major manufacturers, but I think that'd be too warm for your palette here, as you're wisely cautious against. Other surfaces bring in the character and warmth, but if you want fresh, clean white, I'd keep it simple so it always reads as the true neutral barometer against accents. Cheers!

Since you are mentioning the adjoining room I thinking it’s important to take under consideration. Go with a warm white. There are so many cabinet lines with various price points. i have a Dura Supreme kitchen up north and an Ultra Craft kitchen in the south.
