Columnist Steve Chapman in today's Chicago Tribune brings up the need for restraint over these horrors or the war in Ukraine, reminding us to remember Nagasaki. I'm afraid that, with Putin, nuclear is possible.

dcvtlynne 7, as mentions by kaihui it will be 3 to 5 years before flowering. No deed to pinch. Let it grow first. Actually this plant will be a tall bush plant. It will produce so many branches and you have to prune the small branches almost yearly. I have five 20 to 30 gal pot size plants. The purple heart type has been blooming for two weeks. The pure yellow in wax appearance type Wintersweet shall be starting to flower any time in my yard. For years I germinate the seeds for fun. In 2008 I shall collect the seeds earlier to improve the germination rate. Here is a link that might be useful:

Hi again Budster, Son of a gun! Would you believe it - and that was a long time ago! The joys of having a national public-service broadcaster! Oh - but that was not on nation-wide "Cross Country Check-up", late Sunday afternoon, but on the weekday noon program that only went around Ontario. And you live on the west coast (several time zones away). Were you a resident of that large territory (maybe even bigger than Texas) at that time? ole joyful P.S. Many U.S. people in th northern states who can pick up Canadian stations like to listen to CBC radio. Check their website at www.cbc.ca. Quite a few of their programs are carried on Sirius 137, also. o j

Are you urban, suburban, small town, country?

I've lived in suburban Orange County, California all my life. I'm only 23 and everything has changed since I was a kid. I remember when Huntington Beach still had swamp land full of trees and big oil rigs on it. Now it's full of million dollar town houses ON the swamp land and a few oil rigs that just sit there. Rarely do you ever see one that's actually moving. I just bought my grandma's house that's in one of the still unincorporated cities that most people who have grown up in the area didn't even know existed. Traffic is awful. During random hours of the day it can take me about 10 to 15 minutes to get to work but around regular commute hours it could take 20 to 45 minutes. You learn quick not to use the freeway unless necessary. There are many nature preserves and playgrounds. And I love the fact that I get the ocean breeze even on hot days and I don't have to actually be at the beach.

We accept all US coins, but many stores will not accept your $ bills. If they do, you won't get the same exchange rate you get at a bank. Also, we take Am/Ex, Visa and MasterCard almost everywhere. Very few stores accept cheques and won't take an out of province cheque so won't take an out of country one. If you have a PIN number attached to your ATM card and it has a chip, you can pay almost anywhere with your debit card. We all speak English. If you're in Quebec, it's best to brush up on your French. Don't worry about French in any other province. If you come to Alberta, you'll only pay 5% GST. We don't have a provincial sales tax, but we are expensive so you'll pay one way or another.... ;( And we have milk in cartons and jugs here. Haven't seen bagged milk in Alberta in almost 30 years. I hated it in bags. :)

I think that if nuclear is possible with Putin, then the sooner he is stopped, the better. If he doesn't use it earlier, then he will use it later. If he is capable of using it, then he will use it - then it becomes a matter of time. The alternative is that he will never use it, and we do not know that. I think you can compare him to Stalin and draw your own conclusions: WWSD?

The link in the OP does not work for me - perhaps because I am not in Canada.
