Personally, if I saw a door handle one finish on one side and another on the other side, I'd find that strange. Door handles should match each other in the house (or so I thought), not the finish in each room. It will be much more noticeable that you have a two toned door knob than the fact that the door handle doesn't match the other metals in the bathroom. People do not normally notice what door handles match the interior of the room they are in. At least I never have. Unless you think the people who visit you would actually think a two toned handle is appropriate, I wouldn't try that trick. What do the interior door knobs in the rest of your house look like? Also, remember, too much matchy matchy is boring and not noticed but instead blends all together. If you change to a two tone knob then which one should the hinges match? See my point? One thing can lead to another and before you know it you're stressed to a frazzle and for what, a door knob? I'll show you my grays hairs to prove my point. LOL My guest bath hardware is in an antique bronze, almost black finish, yet the door knobs that are in that room and throughout the house are crystal with brushed nickle back plates. Do you think anyone is going to look at my crystal door knobs and think, oh she should have put in antique bronze? Of course not. As long as your selections are stylish, the metal color is not the breaking deal on a bathroom door. Forgot to mention the handles on the antique dresser in my guest bath are antique brass, a third finish in that tiny room. Yet, it all is very beautiful. You have to trust your heart and your eyes sometime and not just think everything has to match exactly, because it does not. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

The clothes catching is a real issue as the knobs on my stove do that to me all the time (but we love the stove regardless, lol). I listen to audiobooks while I cook, and the cord to the earpiece catches on the stove knobs and never the pulls on the cabs. It happens in our bathroom as well where there are knobs. I thread the cord to the earpieces under my shirt, so that has cut down a little on the catching problem, but it still happens, and clothes catch on it too. Since our kitchen knobs are only above shoulder height, in that case, it is the look that I think I'd prefer. I may someday convert them into pulls. To my eye, the pulls look neater and sleeker and the knobs look choppy. It is not a big issue as, lord knows, we have much bigger fish to fry in order to complete our kitchen/house, but it is one of the few choices (other than gc! and floor material) that I'd do differently knowing what I know now. YMMV

I am in the same place, finally have most of my brass removed. When I bought my home it was a combo of shiny brass, antique brass and chrome. Now many years later it is a combo of oil rubbed bronze with a little shiny brass (mainly shower doors) and chrome remaining in baths and some doorknobs. At this point my favorites are oil rubbed bronze and chrome, I do not want to go back to brass at all shiny or antique - not sure why but I just don't.

I have three types: 6 in handles on the upper and big drawers, smaller 4 inch(same) handles on lower small drawers, and bird cage knobs on bottom cabinet doors. I love how they are all mixed up, but they came from the same line so they have the same feel, bottom line is it looks great if you dont use the same all the way around. If you decide on one, I like the pulls you picked. They look better on the upper cabinets.
