Self rimming sink ring - has anyone painted one?
Comments (1)I doubt that you can do something like this yourself and have it still look good after a couple of years: paint on steel with continuing water exposure is not a good combo. I suggest you look into buying a replacement rink which has a factory produced finishe more to your liking, or contacting a professional metal-finisher to see what they can do. (P.S.: that rim looks like stainless steel, rather than being chrome-plated)....See MoreEclipse Sinks - Anyone have one or an opinion about them?
Comments (7)What's all this talk about Chinees product. Don't they own us enough already. Haven't we learned that they make inferior product and that is why it is so cheap. Have we not heard enough about the lead paint in the toys, the mold in the drywall, etc. Hey check out a US owned company that imports products from a European manufacturer that builds eveything to the exact same qauality standards as the high priced stuff like Blanco and Franke. BUT the pricing is not only less expensive than the other European Brands but also comparable and in many cases less expensive than the Chinees brands like Eclipse. Comments (12)Thanks, all. I really don't want the bottom rod because when I've had those, it has been difficult to open and close the curtain. I really prefer to have the view clear as much of the time as possible, as the sun is only a problem when it's in the process of setting. All the rest of the time, it makes it so much easier to see what the kids are doing in the yard, if my neighbor is home, etc., if the window is uncovered. That's why I thought the rod with clips and rings might be ideal, so the curtain would easily slide open and closed. The fabric is just cotton quilting fabric. I plan to line it and I may use somekind of interfacing to stiffen it. I think the idea of curtain weights is a good one, in terms of keeping any billowing to a minimum. I also thought about using swing-arm rods top and bottom, and doing two panels that open and close like shutters, but that seems more involved and more likely that one of the kids would get poked in the eye that way......See MoreAnybody have a sink by "Create Good Sinks"?
Comments (22)Very disappointed "create good sinks" customer. Purchased a $1,575 sink on 12/2/24 for our vacation home. Just had the opportunity to use it for the first time after new years day breakfast. These photos are of my "good sink" after cleaning up breakfast. My review isn't on their website. Wondering why their website only has 5* reviews for the sink I purchased. Please note there are actually more scratches. It's hard to capture each one with the camera. Tip: don't ignore the scratch warning reviews like I did. BUYER BEWARE!...See MoreRelated Professionals
