Sorry you aren't a fan of almond - I much prefer that to white! Since you are going for a tropical paradise feel, let's talk about what that means to you. Are you going to have beachy accents in the bedroom like a hurricane vase with sand and shells and a pillar candle? Tropical floral arrangements? Some warm colors like corals as well as some cool colors like the turquoise that is the color of the year for 2010? I would think about considering the almond fixtures as a way to bring in the sand color of the beach. Pick a little warmer white for the cabinetry and trim. Do a white shower curtain with ribbon trim in one of the tropical colors you use in the bedroom, and the same for the towels, rug for the floor, etc. Find a wall basket that can contain some tropical greenery and orchids for over the toilet. Hang some artwork on the side of the tall closed cabinet that brings in sand and water. I think silver fixtures work with the almond, but I would do a brushed finish rather than a chrome. It is just a bit warmer.

Hard to know what the actual colors are because monitors read so differently, but on mine the tile looks yellow and gray, so I'd probably do plain fluffy towels in those colors (or whatever the real colors are) and a plain or textured gray shower curtain (as per bpat) and the window. You can use a tension rod for the window. The biggest bath rug you can manage, to cover most of the floor, so only the wall tile shows for the most part. Then I'd put a second rug/bath mat and hang it lengthwise on the side of the tub to cover some more of the tile. White also looks luxurious unless the finishes are at all dreary/worn, then white sometimes makes everything look dingy. But try them all and see what works.

Be happy you have a blank slate! You don’t have awful colors to work around, you have neutral. So often people write Houzz with the opposite problem-tiles with horrible patterns, walls with clashing colors, floors that fight with the rest of the room. Bring in lots of your woods with a coffee table in the living room, cutting boards and wooden utensil holders in the kitchen, natural wood picture frames for pictures of trees and colored leaves. The bathroom will come alive with brightly colored towels and a striped rug. Be an artist with this blank canvas and pick colorful things that make you smile and feel happy.

Thank you Jinx! I think I may just stick to adding nothing at the bottom, my bathroom is quite small and you're right it may be too much. The bathroom is pretty outdated, I live in a 1950's house that was kept it's original look as you can see from the medicine cabinet, when I bought the house it had the same shutters in the photo you sent me all around the house, they were nice but I took them down since they were worn out . Eventually I am going to redo the whole bathroom for remodeling but for now I just want to make it look somewhat nice for holidays. I know the photos make the valance look terrible but it's a different vibe in person lol. I think the photo you sent me is gorgeous! I wish I had that view when I open my bathroom windows, unfortunately it's never opened because it points to my neighbors.
