Do you live in a climate that requires you to own gloves, hats, rain boots? A paint colour that is not so sterile and a rug would warm up this area in a quick fix.

IMO a poor place for a panty so I would converyt that storage to coats etc. and maybe a bench where you have the pie cupboard and why the sink at all?

Please clarify: do you want decoration or more storage?

It isn’t clear to me which wall you’re asking about, but if it’s the short back wall, I’d place a large print that made me happy every time I saw it. Anything on that wall with more depth would be a hindrance to opening the cabinet doors.

In a room that size and shape open shelves ( no doors) will be the most convenient for access and use…also any water in a this space will most likely cause moisture problems not good for pantry use…

I’d wallpaper the heck out of those walls…a big bold vibrant design so that anyone walking by would stop in their tracks and gawk at the boldness of my paper choice (and be so distracted they don’t realize it’s just basically a long crowded closet).

The hall is FULL. Getting to hooks would be cumbersome. I am assuming the pie safe won't fit on the other side of the sink? The sink really is confusing. Before you put in the pantry it was a mud room...and a bench and hooks would make sense. Full is full.

Would the pie safe fit on the other side of the sink? Would it fit on the back wall? I know it would probably block the last door of the pantry, but if you only store things that might only get used once a year in that cupboard it might work (Christmas dishes etc). If neither of those ideas work, it looks like you could move the pie safe down and closer to the sink, then you could add a row of hooks for jackets. Hooks should be closer to the door so they are handy. You could then add a long shelf above the hooks and maybe extend it to the back wall. It is a utility room so don't worry too much about crowding the room - if you need storage it's better there than crowding the public areas of the home.

It has just occurred to me that pegboard could make that room even more functional. It doesn’t necessarily have to be for kitchen items like this famous Julia Child image. Think about small tools, tape, scissors, utility knife, tape measure, etc. If you organized everything nicely, it would be a wonderful thing to behold.

I don't get the utility sink; I would expect that in the laundry or pet grooming room. I would go for color; your very favorite on the walls, plus a lovely picture that calms you when you arrive at home.
