Just finished redoing my kitchen. This was a DIY project that took about 3-4 weeks start to finish. We had oak cabinets and hence had to use aqua coat grain filler to remove the oak grain. Followed manufacturers recommendations, 3x pore fill followed by sanding each time. Then primed with Stix primer (2 coats) and 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Advance. Project items:
- Added soffit to close gap between cabinet and ceiling, installed crown molding
- Painted cabinet frames/faces using brush/roller, used sprayer for cabinet doors and drawer faces.
- Installed under cabinet lights
- Installed wood slats (see separate pic) to get wood elements in white kitchen.
