There certainly are some interesting insects in that slideshow. I somehow got sidetracked and started looking up tropical plants and butterflies after I watched it. I've gotten very little housework done this morning. lol I think it was the beautiful photo of the Emperor Butterfly that started my surfing. The red and black hummingbird moth didn't look familiar but it says USA.

Do not like those guys at all they can be scary looking. I was agreeing with the male doctor when he was embarrassed for his wife omg it worries me that she is responsible for the lives of patients. I mean good grief if she couldn't do that rather simple task wow. And she refused to even look at him or listen to him and he knew exactly what to do. I was not impressed and agree that her begging for help and trying to cheat was a bit ironic. She was crumbling under the pressure not a good trait for a medical professional.

From what I've been told, Miele dishwashers can adapt the estimated cycle duration based on the last cycle(s). This could explain why the initial estimate is always shorter (and more accurate) than what the dryer senses a few minutes into the cycle. As for the estimate being all over the place during the drying process... no idea. My Bosch will do this notoriously with certain loads (thick bed covers). It starts with 1.35 hrs. remaining, jumps down to 35 minutes after some time and then keeps going up and down between 25 and 35 minutes for about half an hour. I just ignore it and wait for the thing to be done.

Cpartist, the entrance(s) are here in the center between the garage and the house; I'll probably have the house painted this spring because the current color is really faded in bits. Palimpsest, thank you for the advice. It didn't occur to me to paint the garage and siding all one color, but I get what you're saying about the two masses and I like the idea of doing that until I can figure out an overall exterior plan (garage door style, different type of siding, etc.) Most of the exterior remodels I've seen in my area somehow end up looking worse than before--they remind me of those kid's activity books where you can flip page sections to, say, put a firefighter's head on a body with a tutu and then give it duck legs. So I definitely worry that I'll spend a ton of money and end up with something that doesn't "go." Learning a lot on these forums...
