Katsu, did you get a purple heuchera? I have several different purplish ones. I have 2 'Ruby Veils'. One gets sun until 1:30 and the other gets sun til around 11am. I've noticed that the one that gets less sun loses some of it's purple color. The other one is always purple. The other ones I have get sun from early morning until 1:30 or so. They have retained their color and are doing fine. I just got 'Plum Pudding' this year and it is just a beautiful dark purple. I hope you enjoy whatever one you got! Kat

They are hybrids, only cuttings will give you the same plant. I saved seed from my many different plants and the picture shows what grew.Some may even be sterile.

Alina, Yes the darkest one on the left side is Obsidian. The chartreuse ones are different varieties: Pistache (these plants have gotten huge this year); Lime Rickey, Citronelle (leaves burn but I just pull the burned ones off) and Dolce Key Lime Pie. I like the chartreuse ones! Pistache hss proven to be the hardiest of that lot here.Also, heucheellas 'Golden Zebra' and "Stoplight'are good. I have a couple of Miracle heucheras in nearly full shade areas and they stay nearly chartreuse. This side of the house is a Northern exposure and gets about 4-5 hours of sun but not intense sun. It's mostly shaded in the hottest part of the day. In this climate,( edge of zones 6/7, the heuchera can survive the cold and the heat but they do not do well when we are in drought. I try to keep them watered but drought years are the times I've lost the most heucheras.

Plant Delights has some unusual heucheras, but their prices aren't so great. I have never mail ordered from them as they are a local nursery for me and I normally hit at least one of the open house events that they have each season.
