No power to master bedroom
Comments (3)Check the master bathroom GFCI. It would not be code compliant to feed the bedroom from the bathroom circuit, but that doesn't stop some people. Otherwise, common sense and saving wire would dictate the majority of the time the first device in the circuit is the closest to the panel....See MoreTINY box of a master bedroom progress and make over!
Comments (7)Hi, Mary E. This is very cute, but from your other thread in Home Decorating, I think you misread the name of this forum. This is Bathrooms, not Bedrooms. But it's very nice anyway. ETA Oh! I just realized you're the same person who posted her living room over in Smaller Homes. You're doing a great job!...See MoreMaster bedroom - hardwood floors vs carpet
Comments (4)You don't think dust settles on carpet? It does, and you don't see it. But you do an awful lot of walking in your master with bare feet, grnd dust in with foot oils The rip out when you realize it looks like hell in two years? No thanks !! . Do the hardwood, find a lovely large patterned area rug. In a couple short years, you will thank yourself, and enjoy a higher end look in the meantime. Use the swiffer......: )...See MoreMaster Bedroom Help - new bed, nightstands, rug
Comments (24)What a nice room! Love the window sill and white walls. Great scandi feel, indeed. Also love the armoire and its contrast with the white walls and spare modern style. Agree with scooting it towards the wall a smidge or two more. That R&B bed and the elephant print are gorgeous. When I saw the print, I thought why not use that fabric as a headboard? Either hung from a pole to match the sill or covering a padded board. (Whatever is easier to clean.) To my eye, the "sill" gives the feeling of a headboard. In the pics at least. I'd keep the rest of the bedding mostly white. I think a dark vertical print across the armoire would look good too. I'd choose sleek and closed nightstands and add a tall-ish white ceramic vase to hold some greenery on one or both. I'm not a fan of large rugs in bedrooms simply because I hate vacuuming and I have a dust mite allergy. If I had a concrete floor, I think I'd opt for washable area rugs on each bedside. Hope you'll share pics when it's "done",...See Morelkloes
