Comments (5)Is that a fountain I see in the back? Is it possible to check to see if it can be made functional? It's a great time of the year to buy cushions so that's cheap... I like the shade that the vine provides...maybe you can just cut it back rather than remove it? If you use pressure treated lumbar for the pergola, then it should be fine...it would definitely be my preference to have vines rather than shade cloth... Clean up the gardens...but don't remove anything without posting good pictures on the gardening side of this forum...they'll let you know what to keep and what to save. I suggest getting natives for whatever area she's in. A table and chairs is fine for eating, but it's always nice to have comfortable seating also...I don't know what size you're working with, but there's tons of sales for a loveseat and 2 chairs....See MoreBackyard Makeover
Comments (6)"something for under 5k that would be ideal but highly unlikely" Depending on where you are located, that would be very unlikely for just one of your desired options, let alone both of them. You could probably eek out a firepit area for 5k but it would be pretty rudimentary and not very polished looking. You can also get a very simple recirculating water feature for that budget but the size of one for that price would need siting pretty close to the deck to be appreciated at all. And that's assuming the electricity is available. If not, that will add to the cost. You might need to rethink and see how far you can expand that budget :-) And maybe focus in on the one feature you think will be of most use/value to you and the family (firepit area?) and do it up properly....See More- 2 years ago
