Thanks all for responding. I guess I didn't really make myself clear. What you are calling '6 attributes' are not attributes in my eyes at all- I was only pointing out that the agent didn't say ANYTHING! No comments AT ALL when showing the house- don't any of you that are agents say- "oh- they have a whole-house filtration system", just to let someone know that it is even there? Or- 'oh- this sink is a custom made sink by Tom Schultz'- just nice comments... I imagine, in my mind, what I would be doing as an agent- not talking so much as to irritate a buyer, but pointing out things that are not easily seen. I also forgot to mention that there are no jobs in this town- either you work on the oil rigs or you are retired. As far as the decorating, I am well versed, and probably have a nicer looking interior that most- as has been commented many times, by realtors and lookers. My home is high quality furniture that is new, there is no junk, blah, blah, blah. I don't have a camera to use easily (for me), I have a digital that is a bit too complex for me- it is hit and miss and a lot of frustration to try to get them online. I am computer challenged. I do know that jobs here is a problem As far as the realtor- after a showing, don't any of you who are agents report back to the seller after a showing? Mine has not reported back to me in 6 months!! That is a big problem to me. The realtor that sold my other home reprted back to me every week- told me what he was doing to advertise, reported back how a person who looked at the house felt. So much more than this bimbo. My house isn't even on Zillow- I pulled up houses for sale in my area, and there were several by realtors here. Sweet tea- I had not heard of a 'discount broker' before- It seems that that may be what she is, without saying so. With 7% commission, I would think she would actually WORK! Obviously not!! I found out that there aren't many houses selling here at all- with this being more a retirement area that is higher in price to live- food, utilities, car license plates- multiple taxes, ie Irrigation taxes, license plate taxes being about $600-$1,000 for a new vehicle is a deterrent. My truck is 11 years old, and I just got my tag application ysterday- it is $153.00. My VW Bug is $613.00 THAT type of thing doesn't help! I believe I will look at a different agent, and have a REAL talk about my expectations- if that person can't meet them...see ya! Thank for your advice, all. I just expect someone to do their best- and that does include advertising wherever possible!

So here's the completed project with the Centor Blinds. Check out the install video at their website and realize that the casing that houses the blind assembly sticks out from the door unit a good 4-6" and looks shady onside- wish I'd taken a photo of that before having the left and right sheetrock furred out to make the screen flush with the interior walls. The mechanism slides well, but once in awhile makes a large "clunk" about midway that seems like it isn't lined-up straight on the reel-out of the screen side. I emailed Centor for care instructions, as I have a Phantom Screen on another french door that I silicone regularly, and they never replied. The only care instructions I could find were to keep the tracks clean. You see where the blind meets the screen, and there is a full-length magnetic pliable stip attached to make the connection between the two. It is so magnetic (most likely due to surface area of magnetic material, that t it is a STRONG two-handed separation to open the gap. I'm going to run some quality Scotch 32+ electrical tape at intervals to see if I can make separation more manageable. We have "lake" or "rice" flies that hatch at different intervals of the summer, and if they are on your screen or blind, they get crushed-into the material, and need to be removed via tooth-brush, etc. I'd do it again, but I'd check other brands to see if there is a comparable option that is US instead of Overseas-based.

Yes. I chose CDW bc of their warranty, their financing and bc I felt the material would hold up better to the exteme heat where I live. I am not sure I would use them again. We used CDW for 3 sets of bifold doors. We love having them and they really give the indoor/outdoor feeling. However, we had them installed in Aug 2018 and there was an issue at installation that has yet to be resolved. The weather stripping was wrinkled and didn’t lay flat in some places upon installation. The Company agreed to replace the stripping. When they arrived to replace the stripping, it was black not bronze. They said they would reschedule and come back. We later found out the reason the stripping didn’t lay flat was because it was painted bronze and should have been left black. The next time they came, the workman showed up but didn’t have the stripping. The next time they came they didn’t have enough stripping. The next time they came they came with the wrong stripping. I have an appointment scheduled next month and we will see if they can resolve this. Not holding my breath. Luckily I work from home and don’t have to take off work for the appts but it is an inconvenience. Mind you the workman travel 2-3 hours to my home, so their inefficient service department is costing the company money. I note that after the install I noticed one of the glass pieces had a refraction and the Company agreee to replace it no issues. There were a few times that the doors got slightly out of allignment and they came to fix them. I think this is due to the wrinkled stripping preventing the doors from alligning properly. One time this prevented us from locking our door. We explained that this was a safety issue as this was the door to our pool and they repaired it promptly. Overall, I love the doors but their service department is not run effectively. We recently replaced 6 windows in the front of our home. The caulking around the window was terrible and looked like a child did it. (This was not an issue with our doors surprisingly). The frames were scratched in some places. One piece of the window appears to be coming away after a few weeks. The stucco work on the exterior is terrible. The wall texturing on the inside was terrible as well. (We had some construction they did related to the install). I notified their service department. They agreed to let me have my own contractor redo the stucco and reimburse me. They are going to come back and replace the window frames and will recaulk around the frames. Hopefully this won’t take 1.5 years to resolve like my doors. I had hoped to avoid the hastle of a contractor and the pointing of fingers when something goes wrong, but their construction work is sub par. I am annoyed by the inconvenience of all this as I just wanted to check these projects off my list but can’t.

I’d try some sort of screening, to distract the eye, and look more finished/clean. And it wouldn’t have to be a huge investment, depending on a few things. It would be a quick solution. And I’d get rid of the stepping stones. My app doesn’t have a lattice option, so pretend this is a couple of lattice panels (maybe white vinyl ones, for instance): An arbor (again, white one), but facing more head-on, and leaving the stepping stones through it. I wasn’t able to angle it right: A couple of fence panels: If budget allowed, you could bring your back yard fence/gate up to the front corner. The new wood wouldn’t match where it would connect to the old fence, but still might look better than the exposed side of the house.
