Hello! Can anyone ID this pest currently on my indoor potted caladium? I’ve only had it 2 months. This plant arrived with 2 other visitors in the soil ... a long greyish worm and a yellow spotted black one.

To the naked eye, they appear as black dots on the stalks. Enlarged, they appear to be mites in various stages. Sorry, It’s the best I can do with my cell phone camera.

This is the 2nd time I treat it after noticing a ”dusting” of debris on the table around the plant. I removed what I could feel as grainy on the stems under running water. I followed up by spraying the plants and soil with neem and liquid castile. When I spotted another moving black dot, I sprayed everything again with isopropyl alcohol.

Please help with recommendations for treatment. I live in the humid Caribbean 2 blocks from water on 3 sides. Spiders / mites seem to be in the air here. That’s a dead one in the 2nd photo.

Thank you.
