Media rooms are often dark so the movie theater ambiance is enhanced. However, I think gray is on its way out. Work with your sofa color instead; it looks to be more on the cocoa/chocolate side. You might consider that teal like your cushions and think out of the gray box. Your insp pic probably has WP or a faux painted wall.

I was thinking about moving it because someone else has said that too. I originally had it on the stand in the pic and thought about putting it on that wall. But when I do that the furniture arrangement doesn't really work out that good.

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a new home and I have to say I have ZERO interior designing skills. So I will need some help. It has a loft that is 25 x 15 and right next to it is a media room that is 18 x 15. The loft, it has a kitchenette with cherry wood cabinets and darker granite with a small area for a tv in-between. I want to have a multi-fun room and areas for my daughter. Such as a reading area on one wall and play area on the other. I'm not looking to spend a lot but keep it moderate. Also I am trying to be Montessori aligned but doesn't necessarily need to me, I am not practicing Montessori 100%. For the media room, I am looking for layout ideas, 18 x 15.
