This is for the month of February! You must be a member of Our Blooming Friends! This month is very sweet and simple! Sign ups until the 6th. Bingo on the 7th. And please send by the 14 th.

Very simple swap, just a Valentine card and 2 packs of seeds in colors of white, pink, or red! Can be flowers or veggies, depending on your partner, who I will post on the 7th.

Sign me up💕 No ❄️ here in coastal nc thankful for today 70 degrees, tomorrow another warm one. I was able to trim up a few of my potted plants today, hope to get a few more done tomorrow. We may get a wintery mix Sunday.

Good morning everyonbe. Still no package, and no mail today as we all know it's a holiday. We have been sleeping in so much later these last few days, that not sure we'll hear the alarm tomorrow when it's time to get up for school! My granddaughter had off as of Friday. I better get in the habit since I may be going back to work real soon...sooner rather than never! LOL Mary Ellen, I don't blame you for being partial to the photos. I would be proud as well. Dianne, I can't tell you the number of times I would "remmeber" something, anything...especially that stuff I package up and put in containers in the freezer! LMAO....sometimes it's a defrost everything to determoine what it is. Or defrost what you think were mashed p potatoes and find out it was buttercream icing! My promise to myself this year was to label everything, but I don't always. oh well. One time I had a box take the longest time. When it came down to it, it was never mailed as a priority box, so it took a longer time to get here, perhaps Vina that is what is happeneing? I'm still experiencing great problems with GW. I type to a blank page and then minutes later, the words appear. As of now, I see the paragraph where I mention MaryEllen. It will be minutes before anything else appears and then I have to go back and fix typos. So strange, not sure why this is happening. Spring, plesae come soon, I can no longer take this cold. That is some "liberated" bamboo! *giggle* It reminds me of when my brother held a door open for a "liberated" woman! She slapped his face & told him she wasn't helpless. Good grief! I told him to not let it bother him, she probably just wasn't used to southern hospitality. That's how we raise 'em down here- you ALWAYS open doors for ladies (and even a few gents now & then, if you're first in line). Now he asks before he opens doors.."Uh, are you liberated or southern?" LOL! So I hope that DH replenished your wine supply for you. Sounds like you had quite the day & you certainly need some relaxation! My Feb. box from Em arrived today. As you will remember, I was MIA last month when it was time to send so she and I agreed that she should wait. Wellllll....EM, I am THRILLED with what you sent. Even before I opened it, the box smelled WONderful. When I actually opened it, the heavenly scents just wafted out. But first I pulled out the pkg. that was taped in newspaper. I could peek in 1 end, and when I did I was saying out loud, "oh my, is it really, is it really?" then I opened it and saw I was correct. Em sent 3 Brug cuttings!!!!!! I LOVE them and have wanted some for such a long time. I will have to take time and look up the pics for: Tequila Sunrise, U-Conn Treasure, and Frosty Pink. You must grow these? Thank you EVER so much. Now what smelled soooo good were: Yankee Candle tarts- Home Sweet Home, Island Spa, Autumn Leaves, Garden Sweet Pea, and Kiwi Berries. The other item that smelled so good are Lavender/Vanilla soap petals. You know, I have sent these to others before, but I have never tried them myself. This will be fun and so relaxing in our spa tub. Em also sent a "paint pen" to mark my labels, Valentine chocolates, seeds-mixed Barlow columbine, numerous viola mixes, LOTS of petunia mixes, streaked hosta seedling mix, hosta Fascination, hosta Thunderbolt, hosta First Frost, hosta Christmas Tree, hosta Great Lakes Gold, hosta Blue Belle, and Brug peachy/yellow. Em, I have never tried hostas or brugs from seed so I am anxious to see how they turn out. The hosta seeds are new varieties to me, too. WooHoo! Along with the seeds, Em sent a 10 peat pellet greenhouse. Perfect to try these seeds in this. Also, received CUTE butterfly-shaped sparkly notecards AND ladybug stickers. Em, I am just so excited and thankful for all that you thought of and for the lovely card. I smiled when I saw it addressed to 'ME." :D Thank you again and again. ME

Annie I received your e-mail. Glad you received the prizes and valentine gift. Love all the fairy packages. Rita I received your box today and loved it all. The post office is so rough on packages the cute little fairy arrived broken along with the heart box. Rita you sent so much, two boxes of candy (Yum), valentine card, two precious bear valentine figurines, angel figurine, valentine pencil-pencil sharpener-eraser and note pad. Thank you so much. Sheri-Sorry to read your Birthday gift was missing from the card...I found some black sharpie retractable markers and included one for plant labeling. If I find them again I will send you another. Melinda did receive hers so that one was still intact. Here is the message I received from Melinda via facebook. Dear Shirley, Thank you so much for the beautiful card and new marker pen! Ruth, I received your fun card today. Thanks so much. Loved the hearts that you added. I'll stop back tomorrow and post which seeds you sent. The seeds are downstairs and I'm upstairs right now - yes, I admit too many stairs just to post the varieties of seeds. Some days I can tell I'm getting older! Thanks so much and I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day. My younger daughter and her family came by today so we had our early Valentine's Day together. It was absolutely beautiful out so we ate our lunch on the screened porch. We all love to do that! Then we made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. The granddaughters are very good at making cookies!

Ruth made a lovely card that has a heart shaped wreath made up of flowers that she painted. She sent: Chinese Wool Flower (I'll have to look that one up), Red Easy Wave Petunia, Sunday Bright Pink Celosia, and Sweet William. My husband Bill was William so I am always happy to grow those! Susan, I just opened my seeds and what a great selection. white borage, jazzy red zinnia, and chocolate cherry sunflower. They through in japanese wasabi radish as a freebie. thank you so much.

Interesting about the Railbikes Shirley. I'd love to do it, but I don't know about the pedaling part. We always make time to go to Mercier Orchards when we're in the Blue Ridge area. My grandson has always loved their muscadine cider.

Margo and Susan, what a game on Sunday. I was sure your boys had the game in the bag. Yesterday, I ran in to some guys and gals from Ohio. Of course, they were out here for the game. They said they had a fantastic time on Sunday regardless...and have been having the best time out here in Southern California. They were off to the beach to take in some rays and have clam chowder. So glad they did the beach yesterday.....today raining and 50 degrees.

It was definitely a breath holding game. Ohioans are awesome, no negative comments about the loss. As a matter of fact, there is a rally tonight in Cincinnati to honor the players and their efforts. Margo I haven't mailed your prize yet, lots going on. Eddie's nephew passed away. He was only 38 yrs old and left his wife and 3 kids. Wish he had never went in the hospital with Covid. Went down hill quickly. Eddie has 27 nephews and he was a favorite of everyone's. I will send you a list of several plants and see which you like. Don't want to send something you already have.

Had beautiful weather Wed. and Thurs. but raining again today.

Shirley, since February swap is done, I hope it's okay if I post March swap a couple days early. That will give more time if anyone needs to order anything.

I've ordered seeds from 3 different companies this year and they all took a long time to get here.

I just placed a Baker Creek order and it says to allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

Thru midnight Sunday they are donating 100% of seed sales to World Help to help Ukrainian refugees.
