are the windows this size? maybe forgo the drapes, do some roman blinds. redo the fireplace w/some simple wood trim work/board and battern, hang a nice piece of art (this would go w/your blue chairs)

Is the fireplace staying as is?

Does the tv have to go on top? (it's undersized) or is there another wall to mount it?

This is a perfect set up. The woven wood blinds w/simple white drapes look great.

notice the windows, the tv on the other wall, I think you have room for a large plant in the right corner, placement of furniture, and simple redo of the fireplace. That red tile and art deco surround is a bit difficult to work with.

this is smaller than your room, but some trimwork over the fireiplace, new surround, bench seating under the windows

this one is nice too. a simple wood mantle surround painted white, little window benches, inset blinds w/tall valance. instead of a tv, vintage decor items on the FP mantle.

sheer drapes on a curved rod, almost to the ceiling. updated surround w/shiplap and tv above it. sofa and chairs face each other w/coffee table in the center

I like bamboo shades with stationary panel curtains.
