Window covering advice please
Comments (4)With young kids, you want to be careful with any treatments that have cords. Any cordless product is a great choice. Top down, bottom up...........another great option. Roller/solar shades are nice and neat..........the nice kind, not the big box store ones. There are so many fabric/textile choices for these too and a good price point....See MoreWindow treatment recommendations
Comments (18)As others have said, window treatments need not be the same, but beware of those that are in visual shot of each other. For instance, the windows in living and dining rooms that adjoin each other, or kitchen windows (typically over the sink) and the kitchen dining are 15 feet away. They need not be identical (although sometimes that’s good) but they should relate so the house doesn’t look like a sample sale. Also, with Roman blinds, be aware that even drawn up they block a good chunk of the upper part of the window, which might be an issue sometimes (depends on the window size, the view, etc)....See MoreNeed advice on window treatment
Comments (1)I'd suggest a solid with a texture for the drapery panels. I'd also recommend doing the panels as stationary panels and add roller shades or honeycomb shades on the windows that follow the shape of the bay....See MoreWindow trim (almost) meets crown moulding? Need advice for treatments
Comments (3)Your room is lovely. With your traditional trim and crown molding, you could add a wooden valence box to hide the hardware. I would prefer draperies or Roman shades over shutters in your room. Much softer and you can still enjoy your view.
