I am not very familiar with any high end case goods office furniture manufactures that are still made in the states but I will be anxious to see what others recommend because I want to know myself. You are looking for traditional, elegant and classy. I can recommend a few high end leather furniture manufactures that make all of their products right in North Carolina. A leather desk chair and visitor chair lends itself to that atmosphere of office decor. You should look at Leathercraft, Classic Leather and McKinley for better office seating that is 100% American made.

I'm going to join in on the "warming" trend. Do you actually work from home? There is a difference from actually WORKING and working. If your work depends on it, then the room needs to be productive and comfortable. If it's not a full time job, then you have more options based on your preferences. It looks like a nice sized space. If you are going to be doing Zoom meetings or anything where the wall behind you is in view, consider the color and decor for THAT wall to be especially important. Maybe a focal color as a good backdrop to shelves, artwork, or credentials. Where did you get the sofa? I really like it and it looks to be about the right size and color for MY home office, lol so anything you can tell me about it would be appreciated!

And, the Kitchen/Dining Room layout - two major options for now. Layouts 1a & 1b are basically the same, the only difference is the orientation of the table. I have a couple of more ideas, but I don't have time right now to work them up and, besides, if you aren't OK with general layout, they will all probably need to be re-worked. I have no idea where the windows are, so I worked with what I had and assumed windows all along the bottom wall - that's why there are no upper cabinets along that wall. If you can pinpoint the windows for us (i.e., measurements!), I can adjust appropriately. . .

You said you're open to ideas, so without having measurements, here's a possibility: The desk looks small in front of the window but if that's where your husband wants to be, you can float the 4 chairs in a circle in the center, keep the chandelier and bookcase where they are now and place a coffee table underneath the chandelier. Make sure it's on a dimmer switch. The desk cords are very visible on the floor, it might help make them less conspicuous by placing a grouping in front of the desk and anchoring it with a rug. If the drapes are partially covering the sides of the window, pull them back to open up the view and make a tidier drapery stack. This could a great office/library space. In the dining area, consider moving the buffet in front of the window so you can create more circulation around the table and pull it off the fireplace more. Of course, if you do that, you'll want to be sure it looks OK from outside too.
