Window treatments for a NON window treatment type girl
Comments (14)We are not window treatment people either, but have started to add some as we've reno'd/decorated a few of the rooms in our house; two bathrooms and our office. They really do help to finish off a room. That said, we're not covering our kitchen bow window, or the DR bow window, though I might consider something for the DR window at some point--just for the window panes themselves, not to cover the whole bow-unit. We used Hunter Douglas' Designer Screen Shades in the Roman Shade style (ours are mounted inside the frames becuase of our window style/frame depth). The shades are very clean-lined and range in sheerness. With the sheerer weaves/fabrics, you can see outside with them down and they allow a lot of light in....See MoreWhat is the right window treatment for this window? Help!
Comments (24)@Melndo The walls are Benjamin Moore Rockport Gray: https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/color-overview/find-your-color/color/HC-105/rockport-gray?color=HC-105 Our window is north facing as well. There is a large Japanese maple near the window so we don't get a ton of light there. I have the floor lamps, two table lamps and a light on the ceiling that isn't in the picture to make sure the room gets enough light. We actually use this room as a music room. There is a piano on the wall that isn't in the picture. Hope this helps! Glad you like it. :)...See MoreTrying to find a semi sheer window treatment for a 5 window bay window
Comments (5)I recently bought a product called Veilish. It’s a window film made with fabric material. It’s semi-transparent, so it can provide indoor privacy without blocking the view outdoors. The best thing is that it is self-adhesive, and it can be installed and removed easily, so you don’t need an installation expert. I think you will definitely be satisfied with this product....See MoreIdeas for window treatment of 7 curved windows
Comments (7)I doubt that I could resist the drama of columns of velvet drapes on every window! I would do one style of curtain rod all around the half circle, but in reality each window would have its own support bracets. However, a more low key treatment would be celluar shades for each window. You can get them blackout, and you might enjoy the ones that can be positioned top down or top up, and they can also be "accordioned" from both ends to have the shade float in the middle, so light comes in at the top and the bottom...See Moremary202
