need help for under mount sink installation with Caesar stone
Comments (24)Quote from the first post : '' We called caesar stone and they clearly said thats not the way we recommened to install the sink but you can ask your fabricator to call us about the warranty . my question was very simple to them will it cause future problem with the life time warranty but they said your fabricator should call us and he is the one who can give you warranty for the installation .'' It looks like it is the fabricator you should ask about warranty . Just a reminder : You do have a 3cm Caeserstone , not the 2cm one . Even if the groove is 1cm deep , there is a lot of material left with lots of strength . As suggested , if concerns are about the material splitting , which in this case it is highly unlikely , then you can always fill the grooves as much as possible . Another reminder : The sink in question is coming with attaching brackets and maybe in the fabricators experience , they decided it is better to use them in combination with a strong man made stone . Nothing wrong with it , especially with sinks which need prying force to bring them close to the stone . I do not use this system , but I've seen it on many occasions by other fabricators . You should make sure the sink lip is siliconed well to the stone , for preventing future leaks ....See MoreHelp! Walnut butcherblock counter w/ sink-faucet style?monocoat?epoxy?
Comments (10)I installed a birch wood countertop on my last home. I LOVE wood counters. I had also used Waterlox after reading so much about it but was not impressed. Around my undermount sink I put 12 coats of polyurethane. That seem to hold up well, but if I had to do it over again I would’ve installed a sink that went to my backsplash, and had a hole for my faucet. I have since moved and no longer have wood countertops, but I have a solid oak top for my island, I just oil it and I love it. Good luck with your project....See Morewhat size under mount sink do I need for a 30 inch kitchen cabinet?
Comments (1)A 30" sink will undermount in a 30" cabinet if the sink is strapped, not clipped, in place no matter what the sink manufacturer says....See MoreNeed to reinforce under mount sink
Comments (2)No clips and not those either. Use a Hercules Universal Sink Harness from BB Industries or a couple Sink Straps from Granquartz. You can jump up and down in a strapped sink....See More72peewee
