Humidifier or Air Purifier?
Comments (6)Is it from this website ? (the link which I've shared below ) It looks like a relatively new technology . I am sure you can expect steeper prices once this air purifier gains popularity in the market . Because there is no way something like this with a far superior design and capable of capturing 0.1 micron (implying even flu causing virus can be effectively captured by these purifiers) . I also took a look at the test certificates ..the filter design is patented as well .Easily a good sell ..expect steeper prices in the coming months . Here is a link that might be useful: Clair Purifier...See MoreLooking for an air purifying plant (not very sun-needy)
Comments (7)It's not ridiculous. As long as you're willing to put in the legwork, I don't see why it wouldn't work, but it depends on how bright that sunroom is. If it's bright and hot, it could shock any plant that has grown in the dark. Better idea might be to move the plant when you work in there, and bring it back as you leave. Or if you will be away for the weekend or longer, keep it in the sunroom. Sounds a bit tedious though...huh? I would recommend getting a Sansevieria. Very low light is okay and it would probably do quite well with the type of lamp/light that the others have recommended. You would probably need to turn the light on as you leave, and off when you come back to give it enough hours, I think? (Jen? photo?) It's not easy to kill a Sans except by overwatering it and it's allegedly the very best at purifying the air. Here's the NASA report if you want to read the exciting material LOL. Oh, and is the room heated at least? I don't know where you are but I would not leave a Sans in a cold and dark room, nothing below 50-55. That will also kill it, most likely....See MoreAir purifiers to "clean" the air or really just for your mental state
Comments (3)I do believe Air Purifier is machine that must be in each house. Thank you for providing list of Air Purifiers. May I ask how good are the filters in these air purifiers and how often will they need to be changed? I read on the internet that sleeping with the air purifier is very beneficial. Sleep becomes healthier and more pleasant. That is why I had a desire to buy myself the same device for my home so that it would be more pleasant to exist in it. I've already found a service where there is a fairly large catalog of various air purifiers https://dehumidifiercritic.com/best-large-room-air-purifier/ . Not only do they just have a review for each product, but all the pros and cons of each product are also written there. In addition, I read that each purifier is tested for about 3 months before being reviewed. It sounds pretty cool doesn't it? Still I really want to know the answer to my question please....See MoreWhole Home Air Purifier -Air Knight, Carrier or other options?
Comments (2)Air filtration and air purification systems in general when it comes to whole home HVAC filtration solutions is long in the tooth about what they do and don't do in addition to that what they truly do in terms of cleaning the air without producing negative things you don't want like Ozone (any amount of Ozone production is not good for you). It's very subjective. Alergy sufferers: There are no two people alike when it comes to alergies. Some are more afflicted than others. I did some looking at the Air Knight Brand you mentioned in your post, just due to the Ozone producing alone I would never offer a product like that. In addition to that they recommend that the system blower run continuously, also the cost to me sounds self defeative to this product for what is required to make it work as designed. There are better options than this in my opinion. electrostatic filtration: In my opinion they don't work and tend to be very restrictive when it comes to air flow. They must be cleaned really well in most cases by means of taking them apart and cleaning each individual layer. (too much fuss to be a long term solution) They work by creating 'static' to charge the layers of the filter. If you live in a humid climate like I do it would be very challenging to generate the static needed to work properly. (drier climates are far easier at producing static electricity.) Because air conditioning is performed by the moving of air (350 -400 CFM per ton) restricting air via a restrictive filter like an electrostatic filter is not worth the trouble that will ensue, not to mention the higher light bills. So what is one to do? This situation is best left to your service provider. There are good intermediate choices that work well for most people, that perform well under most circumstances. The home in question, your alergy concerns and the cost of maintaining the system have to all be considered. Air purification systems (aside from cost and actually doing what they claim) biggest weakness is maintenance. This is yet another reason it is best left to your service provider. It's good that you've started your research and are questioning things. Often times manufacturer's only state the positives of the products they've made....See MoreAlan Zhong
