I like a green-blue suggestion above, but your exterior colors are so neutral that you can choose almost any color you like and it will be another step to make this house "yours". A bright blue door will make a bold statement and will be an eye-catching focal point distracting from poor landscaping. On the porch, you can add an outdoor chair and decorate it with some bright pillows that will match your front door. If there is not enough space for chair you can add an unusually patterned rug. An entry door needs much more than an actually visible color. It needs the approach to it to have clues that it exists, and that people are welcome to come to that door. There doesn’t seem to be much of an encouraging wide and friendly pedestrian path to the porch, where presumably, people will travel. Right now? This looks like the cars are telling people that they are not welcome. The garage is the most obviously important part of the facade. It’s the most obvious and prominent element. And the front door isn’t visible, and has no designed path of destination to it. The hardscape and landscape design needs to overcome this. Paint is secondary. But yes, paint all of the batten trim and the garage doors the house body color. That body color may need a big workout on a lot of elements, actually. Every necklace in the jewelry box is being used, and it’s too much. The entry door needs a light bright color. School bus yellow. Bubble gum pink. Orchid purple. Acid citron green. Something that shouts rather than hides behind its mother’s apron.

I’m looking for colour ideas for my garage and front door. I’m thinking of professionally painting my garage door the same BRONZE colour as my front window trim. Is that a good idea or leave it lighter as is? Then what colour do I paint my front door? Black, Teal, Lime green, Yellow, Orange or Cedar Stained Wood? The door will be changed to match my garage door style.

If the storm door is the actual factory finish, I would not paint it. Dog toenails will have that scratched in no time. I would not be using magic eraser on your door either, it ruins the finish. If you have a problem removing mud etc off the door, use a bottle of original windex and spray it, and it will wipe right off. A bottle of awesome from the dollar store, works great too. I have a Beagle, that does the same thing, when he wants in, but, he is confined to the back of the house, so its the back door, not my front or side entrance. I also have a storm door guard on the bottom half of the door, to protect the door itself from his paws. I have black trim and doors in my house, and I love them, but, I would not want them on my outside doors, because, yes, they show every spot.
