Does anyone recognize this weed?
Comments (18)Here is a link to a nimbleweed discussion and pic -- from July 2010. But it does not appear to match your current picture. (Current picture is much better.) And, here is another picture http://njaes.rutgers.edu/weeds/weed.asp?speedwell. (veronica) This one appears to be a better match of your weed, and mine. I had never heard of the name "speedwell." The name "veronica," yes, but different variety and never had to deal with it in Florida until this past year. Comments (7)supermom!!!! thank you so much. I am beginning to chicken out regarding using all painted cabinets in my renovation. I have always loved Margie's kitchen and I think it is exactly what I need to do. Mostly cherry stained with the same backsplash and counter as Margie. And white painted with soapstone in my separate beverage area. And white painted flanking our bay window in the eating area. White painted trim. Settled. The wonderful thing is my daughter agrees. And she is VERY hard to please. She's modern and I'm not. She loves painted and usually doesn't like stained. But the blending of Margie's warm tones is captivating. And the use of white satisfies all. Sigh. Finally I think I've made THAT big decision. Hummm. Now should I go with shaker or raised panel? I always thought I'd go white shaker. But if I do Margie's color palette then I wonder if I should stick with raised panel. I can't wait for this renovation to be done so I can relax and just enjoy....See MoreClay Tiles I've Been Working On
Comments (110)Slow....I'm really starting to lean towards selling. The gallery that wants my stuff, takes 40%...so that has put me off for a while. But I'm really starting to think about other options. My daughter thinks I need to try to make her a better deal. She has said my stuff was front window quality......so my daughter is urging me to make a better deal with her. I may just try and see..... I have a hard time giving anyone 40%. The Base and supplies are much more than any of their other stuff .. Most are Canvas's and paint...Pottery.. small sculptures ...My bases are spendy .. I think about a tea set...I pay $45.00 for the set... then $30 for the glass....my time..glue ..grout, and it looks like I'm trying to screw someone! then add 40% to that! I now notice how over priced stuff is there..and the reason is the 40% commission! So ebay might work for me. Just looking into it. So impressed you thought it was worthy of selling! that lights a fire under my butt!!!hahaha Hazie...See MoreNooooo! I've fallen in love with onyx mosaic tile...
Comments (8)sometimes a little knowledge is an expensive thing...like hanging out on this forum lol! getting my inspiration from femmelady's kitchen, I used 4x4 and brick-style and tumbled mosiac rather than square and polished onyx mosaics in my previous kitchen. They *are* pretty, aren't they?! Maybe you won't have to since yours will be polished, but I used Miracle 511 Sealer and Enhancer (all in one bottle) before they were installed. The enhancer part kept the "wet look" that I liked better but I bet the polishing already does that for you. YMMV. I included a link to an old thread on onyx. My pictures aren't showing up so I'll have to go check that out but lots of other nice pics! cheers Here is a link that might be useful: femmelady's and other onyx kitchens...See Moreloobab
