Ideas need for space above console table

I have a console table on a wall that leads into my living room and am looking for ideas for what to put above the table.

Do I need a lamp on the table? If so, what kind do you suggest? Other decor for the table?

Extra info:

Wall color is SW Popular Grey. One picture makes the wall look pink but it is definitely more grey.

In the entry way, I have some silver metal art in the foyer which close by the table. You walk past the silver art wall.... then you see the wall with the console table then you see the large art pieces.

All of these things (silver art, console table, large art work) are on the same side of the room.

Across the room is a fireplace and windows. A large round mirror is above the fireplace.

I'm giving all the "extras" to see if it would help in deciding what I should put over the table.

Why is the console table there at all I am not relly seeing the space as it relates to the foyer and the LR so a couple more pics showing that would be great BTW love what I see,

Does this help? I know the table needs something different. Just trying to work on the console table area. If I move the table, what could go on the wall. PS- The picture on the table in this video was hung in the kitchen.

Yes the sectional does have a little slant. I never even thought of that. It dies recline but it does not lean back so I wouldn't have to worry about it hitting. Errant, The room is L shaped The dimensions are about 13 x19 then it opens up to a dining room if that makes sense.

That's pretty. But I've resigned myself to the dimmers and a nightlight. What I witnessed last night with cat behavior around a table so close to the front door made me realize the danger of losing them to a quick dart out the front (and we face a very busy street), should they spring to the top of the table and out the door, or worse, somehow manage to hide behind the table and then make a break for it. We watch them very closely when we're coming in and going out. They exhibit some mild curiosity as to what's "out there" beyond the front door, but so far there has been no indication that they're going to try to find out for themselves. They generally just move on back when we tell them to get away from the door, but I can see how a piece of furniture so close to the door would add confusion and possible "cat intrigue" into the mix. It's not worth it. I think I shall entitle my memoirs, "Cats: This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things." ;-)

Lovely home! I was on the PB site recently and remembered this mirror after seeing your rooms. I like the idea of a mirror there for bringing in dimension and light reflection. It looks amazing already, it really does!!! In front of the radiator you can do a bench. But other than that leave it empty. Add some art that speaks to you. What do you like? Big family photo? A painting? Maybe just a mural art with molding around it to frame it out... so many options. I’d also add some new pillows with more color. Black, Blue, brown leather....

I think the console would look lovely with a trio of objects that are functional and spark joy…for example: a lamp, a small decorative box or tray and a framed photo or a small floral arrangement.
