Sheer Descents for corners

We recently put in a pool with double Roman ends. We had the plumbing for the sheer descents run to all 4 corners of the pool. My question is, can we put a sheer descent on the corner of the pool? We want to caddy corner each descent on the corner. Can this be done or would it have to be on the end or the side of the pool?

The Sheer Descent can only be trimmed to conform to a radius. You cannot trim them to mimic the corners.

The location and the size should have been decided well before plumbing was run. The Sheer Descents need a certain minimum water flow to operate properly based on their size. Sizing the plumbing also to achieve that, is needed.

It's recommended a separate pump with a small cartridge filter is used.

With this pool shape, I would place them on either long side or deep end. I can't tell if there are entry steps at the shallow end. If so, placing them there would not be good.

This is my pool. The pvc pipes on each corner are for the Descents. Where would your recommendation be to put them?

I have 2 8' Sheer Descents that are back to back for a 16' wall of water. I takes a 1HP pump for each of the Descents and wide open they have just enough water. 1 1/2hp would probably do a better job without having to run the pumps wide open. The suction is from several(4) side wall inputs. I have no problem with clogging since the inputs are about 2' under water they pick up nothing floating or anything that has sunk to the bottom. The sheers make a spectacular addition to the pool and are great fun to play in, they arc out enough to walk behind. Do we need a separate pump for our sheer descent waterfalls?

Thanks so much for your responses. Mas985, we actually have three 24" sheer descent waterfalls. Does this change your opinion? One of the PB's said that all of the lines he's running are 2" lines, and that he'd like to use 1.5 HP pump for the filter, and a separate 1.5 HP pump for the waterfalls. Our question is would we be better off going with a 2.0 HP pump and a larger sand filter for a savings of around $500? Is it really worth it? And, when we run the waterfall, we would just re-circulate the water through the filter and direct the water flow with valves to the waterfall, instead of the pool returns. The PB recommending two pumps said we'll get better water flow, as opposed to getting the 2 HP pump. We never considered getting a variable speed pump, although if it is recommended this is certainly an option.

I have 3 sheer descents (24in wide each) on a raised wall 3 feet. I have one pump. The water either returns through the pool returns or through the sheer descents. No separate suction. I have a variable speed pump so it is programmed to run my sheers at a higher RPM. I don't know what sound effect you are looking for, but at full blast, these things are loud. I do not have a spa.

Thank you all so much! I really like the firebowls a LOT, but think our pool is a bit too formal for them. The Horchow site is pretty neat, and I particularly think (as others have mentioned) that urns - maybe atop pedestals - would look good. (I also like the Foo Dogs and herons/cranes.) The columns are 3' x 3,' so I need something kinda on the beefy side. smbnobles, we don't have a dairy farm, but we are planning to start raising mini-cows (just for pets) later this year. (Your dog is such a cutie by the way! :)
