Island sink...what faucet would look good?
Comments (8)nikkidan-We have the Delta Addison in our island which is the same size and general shape as the Allora. We also added a soap dispenser and it looks fine. I had the same concerns you are having, but once it was installed, my concerns disappeared. We have the Allora in our laundry room & it is a very well made faucet--better quality than the Addison I believe. I haven't experienced the Pilar, but my vote would be for Allora. I did change out the soap dispenser with our Allora faucet as the one that came with it was difficult to fill and was "plasticy". We went with the Luxart Model# CSD in brushed nickel which actually matches the Allora stainless quite nicely. Here's a pic of our kitchen from the family room showing the faucet from the rear (the barstool to the right is hiding the soap dispenser from view but you can just make out the Allora faucet in the laundry room to the left): Here is a link that might be useful: Luxart Soap Dispensers...See MoreGood or bad experience w/ Miseno, Danze or Essen kitchen faucets?
Comments (21)We did a master bath with Danze a number of years ago. All of the finishes have failed and all of the cartridges and parts have corroded. They take WEEKS to deal with warranty. YOU have to mail the parts back at your expense after weeks of waiting for the claim papers. Contrast this to my experience with Moen, Delta and Kohler. Call them, they send the part. Sometimes you get it in a day or two. Most times within a week. And both Delta and Moen sent completely new faucets without any problem at all. Keep all of your receipts. And even if it's been many years, that is the service you will get....See MoreWhats a good moderate price pre-rinse kitchen faucet to buy?
Comments (5)Kraus KPF-1602 faucet! Installed for 2 years, and love it. It has two faucets in one, the water pressure is great, it has all-brass construction, and it is very dramatic looking. I cannot get over that some brands charge $1000+, and I don't even think those faucets are as functional as the Kraus. Right now, $285 at expressdecor (where we bought ours). Make sure to look at all the pics in the link below. Here is a link that might be useful: Kraus KPF-1602 faucet...See MoreLooking for Kitchen faucet, water filter faucet and soap dispenser
Comments (12)@phemrajani Yes, all faucets must be R/O certified. If you use one that is not certified for R/O use, the pure water will bond with potentially dangerous metals and you will be ingesting all of that! Some faucets have trace (and legal) amounts of lead or other metals that should not be ingested. Regular water will not pull these metals out of the faucet. R/O water will. This is a quote from that article that might sum things up for you so you won't have to read the entire article. “Demineralised water that has not been remineralized, or low-mineral content water – in the light of the absence or substantial lack of essential minerals in it – is not considered ideal drinking water, and therefore, its regular consumption may not be providing adequate levels of some beneficial nutrients.”...See Moreitsourcasa
