Hi Genny 60 watt bulb should be ok, and abut 4" from the eggs, put them in a shoe box that way the heat from the bulb will cirulate around the eggs in a small area. keep them warm and spray mist them with a small amount of plain water. That will raise the humidity of the eggs and make them easier for the babies to hatch from, just like when the hen sets on them, her down feather sweat putting off a high humidity which is what the eggs will need in order to hatch. We are using three pendants over our kitchen table, with one larger one and two smaller either side (they are all those adjustable height PB Porter pendants, so we can play with raising and lowering to suit the occasion/table expansion/etc). Maybe the differing sizes/heights would help distract from Yet More Pendants? I remember in England it was quite common to have hanging fixtures which were then looped up again and reattached to the ceiling a little distance away from their original fixture site, presumably to allow flexibility in where the light was centered over time? I tried to do a search for a picture to better explain, but in so doing stumbled across this site below with lots of options similar to the sample you show above... is Mission your style by any chance?? I think you will find a creative solution which you may end up liking even more than your original plan - some of the quirks end up being the favourites, don't you find?! If you have power to part of the circuit, then that rules out the breaker and I'd suspect you have a loose connection somewhere. After that it is a box by box check until you find the problem. Did you check for power from hot to neutral or hot to ground (or both). A lack of power from hot to neutral but power from hot to ground would indicate a problem with the neutral line. A lack of power checked both hot to neutral and hot to ground would indicate a problem with the hot line. "Back stab" receptacles are frequent culprits. Replace or rewire any you might find.

I always enjoy when people return to the forums to post updates of their projects. I finally got the chandelier installed in my kitchen and wanted to show it to you all. Deciding what length to hang it was tricky because there's really no standard for a chandelier in the kitchen, or at least an eat-in kitchen like ours. I went slightly higher than the 30"-34" that's recommended in a dining room because I didn't want it to be imposing. I really like the result. It seems to break up all the white and stainless steel and completes the space. And the function! Here, I was just getting a chandelier to look pretty; I got that PLUS great lighting ;) We ripped out and drywalled over the two sad, sad can lights that emitted almost no wattage. Baking cookies this weekend was so much more pleasant now that I could actually see!
