Master Bathroom Remodel - Floor plan/layout ideas needed
Comments (11)Sophie, having just gutted two bathrooms and a kitchen I would have to agree. My master closet cabinets with island were significantly more than the cost the OP wants to spend on the entire project. And that was just the master closet. However, the OP should plan the space then get bids and access what are must haves versus what she wishes. I deleted the tub because I don’t take baths and I wanted a large shower. As long as she has a tub somewhere in the house it is not an issue. At that point, she will have a better idea of what her budget should be, but based upon the space I would guess closer to $50,000...See Moreprimary bathroom remodel needs help

Comments (26)I like the architect's and Cpartist"s plan. Your bathroom has more space in those plans. I would use a built in tub for ease of cleaning and easy entry into tub. I think your house on the exterior will look fine without windows in the closets. The windows will interfere with hanging your clothes. Can you add a window next to the bed as shown in Cpartist plan? How wide would the bedroom be if you removed the jog in the bedroom wall on the right? Or could you push the bottom right bedroom wall a couple inches into the bathroom to make the bedroom wall on the right straight?...See MoreNeed design help with primary bathroom lighting and mirrors
Comments (8)Sconces are so much better for lighting bathroom mirrors than overhead lights of any type. For a 96" wide vanity I would use four single sconces. Since you only have 8.5" from the right hand sink to the wall you need something skinny, but skinny sconces are popular now. I like the double one you chose. Maybe they have it in a single. I can't tell from the pictures, but it may be possible to move the sinks over a couple inches to gain more room on the right edge. Sometimes it's possible to do that without moving plumbing. If you have four sconces you will not need the overhead lighting. When on they will be much more than decorative. They will be very functional. 20" X 36" is a good size for mirrors, but consider medicine cabinets unless you have all the storage you need in your vanity....See MoreHU-245110268
