Huge all white Raptor flying over my house ?
Comments (4)Being that it's "huge" and that it's this time of year, I would guess a pale, semi-albinistic or albinistic FERRUGINOUS HAWK. They vary from palest brown to almost pure white. They are winter passers and stay around from January into April. The link I'm attaching shows some dark forms as well as almost white forms. Comments (15)I would imagine there is lead paint in there somewhere, given the age of the house. I should get a kit to test as I go along. As far as the Soy Gel goes, I seem to be finding this version most often in my searches online. Is this the same stuff? It claims to be good for lead paint, and it also says that it removes multiple layers at the same time. So maybe it's different or not as good to use as the one Beth H showed. I wouldn't want it to take off too much somehow and ruin the wood underneath. Thanks for everyone's help, I really know nothing about this kind of thing, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can as I take on new projects. I'll be sure to give an update or two on here as well....See MoreWhite steps on front of home? Should I paint all white?
Comments (14)There are two ways to go with white exterior paint for body of house. Warm white or cool white. Both colors you have selected are slightly cooler while still in the yellow hue family. The main body color will drive color choices for trim and steps. For example, with cooler offwhite black would work better for trim. For warmer body of house, a dark brown would be best. Which way would you lean?...See MoreBM trim color w/ Linen white walls in home w/ little natural light?
Comments (6)Not a Pro. Right now your looking at a blank slate. Start adding your furniture, curtains and art. Change lighting.....to something that gives more light. @Patricia Colwell always gives great advice on lighting for rooms. Live with it for a while, then decide if you want to change the trim....See MoreJennifer Hogan
