No, if he can't get what you want and is willing to give you a refund, take it and buy what you want elsewhere. This is business, nothing more.

I agree with Boxer, there are alot of granite guys out there desperately needing work. I have 3 almost calling me every other day to get my business. It really is worth a try. One of my estimates had the job at 43.99 a square foot which was broken down to the granite itself being 14.99 a sq ft and the fabrication at 29.00 a sq foot. Seems to me that the fabricators may be able to negotiate a bit. Also if you find a place that does both the granite and the fabrication (a one stop shop) you may be able to get a better deal. Give it time. The grout will mellow out.

Simply ask to have the outer blinds cut shorter. The person that measured obviously made a mistake in measuring. The ends should have a 2.5 overhang. We once had a professional install. The owner of the store came out and measured. When he came back to install, he realized that he had not made the headers long enough to accommodate a bead on our window trim. Had to reorder those.
