do i need a bathtub in a master bathroom
Comments (19)pricklypearcactus - I have a copy of the bank appraisal for the house my sister is buying. This is the wording from the UNIFORM APPRAISAL DATASET (UAD) DEFINITIONS ADDENDUM (Source: Fannie Mae UAD Appendix D: UAD Field-Specific Standardization Requirements) Explanation of Bathroom Count Three-quarter baths are counted as a full bath in all cases. Quarter baths (baths that feature only a toilet) are not included in the bathroom count. The number of full and half baths is reported by separating the two values using a period, where the full bath count is represented to the left of the period and the half bath count is represented to the right of the period. Example: 3.2 indicates three full baths and two half baths. It does not appear that the 3/4 bath versus full bath is a regional thing. According to Fannie Mae, there are only full and half baths....See MoreWhat lighting and should I do for master bathroom redo?
Comments (23)@JustMe interesting combination. I can see why that works -it centers the eye with the black balanced in the middle. If the black was on 1 thing it might look accidental, IMO. Thanks! Learned something new......See MoreHow do I take apart a bathroom tap to change cartridge?
Comments (16)Update. My husband took the cartridge to a plumbing supply company and the person at the service desk was not able to identify it. They weren't busy and the person spent quite awhile searching through their catalogue. In his opinion some manufacturers deliberately don't put their stamp on their product or make it easy to replace the cartridge so you need to buy a whole new tap. We'll try another plumbing supply place but I'm not hopeful. We're not confident in our ability to in stall a new tap so we'll need to get a plumber, in addition to the cost of a new tap....See MoreDo I need both sconces and over-mirror lights in master bathroom?
Comments (11)Thank you so much for these really helpful comments. @kandrewspa, Interesting suggestion about changing the sconces next to the mirrors, and I'll consider it although I do really love the ones I've got. Re the ceiling fixture, I do have one but unfortunately it is primarily an exhaust fan with just a small LED light, which I forgot to turn on when I took my photos. I need that fan, and there isn't room for an additional ceiling fixture. That's why I wanted to put in the lighting over the mirrors, to augment the sconces at the sides. I do already have both categories of lighting on dimmer switches; forgot to mention that. @JustMe, for up-facing sconces to go above the mirrors, do you mean something like this or this from Justice Design, or this one from Capital Lighting, or this one from Swiss Passport? Would you place them above each mirror, or between them?...See Morelittlebug zone 5 Missouri
