How about your J&P 2007 Test Panel Hybrid Teas?
Comments (3)re: "The mauve/lavender rose on the test panel hasn't been named yet but I really think it deserves to be commercialized as well as the other two." Check this out... They named it Sweetness and are introducing it for 2009. Here is a link that might be useful: JP Wholesale...See MoreTell your experiences with non-hybrid tea type roses
Comments (18)Sara-Ann, Another thing I thought of with Austins. In the light pinks there are many look-alikes. And white-based pinks vs. yellow-based pinks. Cameras can make the first appear to be the second. That's a question to ask if you have a preference. And it never occurred to me that Austins can have 6 small flower buds each on 4 upright stems on a main stem. Duh. But until I saw 'Windermere' it hadn't occurred to me. Here is one of my lusts growing over 5 ft. with multi mini candelabras atop a long stem. For a bouquet I have to cut one of the candelabras with buds tightly closed and opened?! I also cooled on 'Queen of Sweden' for that reason. I love my 'Apricot Nectar' sprays but those 2 Austins ..... maybe it was the formality and rigidity of how the buds/flowers were held that didn't ring my chimes. Growth habit (Austin) was the biggest adjustment for me. I still love the sculptured beauty of a hybrid tea bud but Austins in the blended pink/peach tones make me swoon....See MoreTry This-- Write Down Your Top 10 Teas
Comments (87)thank you ingrid for the warm welcome - i'm so happy to meet you here on a fascinating theme. tea roses are indeed a rare thing in germany and rather for freaks...but we're getting more and more... i'm participating in a set of tealovers and found the way to you via morrisnoor about identification of some doubtfull teas in european collections and commerce. we have the same problems as the oz tealovers in this regard. thus i hope that i will find here some answers to open questions concerning mislabeled, forgotten and found specimens. ahhhhh..the rest of the fovourites...it's hard to say much about because they are still little plants that i've purchased one year ago. among them the better known items of the lists above. in a few weeks will arrive some found teas from vintage which we feared they would give up their business. let's tell me more next season..the total listing of my plants you will find on hmf. let me at least apologize for my halting english. best, kai-eric...See MoreYour three favorite Hybrid Teas/Grandifloras 2019
Comments (31)Off hand, I think I only have one, so it must be my favorite - Rouge Royale - and I am not going to post that photo again. I'm getting weary of it so I know everyone else must gag. It's news to me that Twilight Zone is a HT. Mine doesn't look like it in bush or bloom form. So, it's another favorite. Roberto Capucci - I planted him, changed my mind, put him back in his original band pot and he's bursting at the seams to get in the ground. I love him even though he hasn't bloomed yet. He's an eager one! If we're calling Quietness a HT, then it's definitely up there with Rouge Royale, and they look smashing together. Cream Veranda and Westerland are HTs?! No way! Mine have been keeping this little secret to themselves. Geez, I didn't know I had so many HTs....See MoreDiane Brakefield
