March 2021 in my hosta garden
Comments (93)Please don’t hate me. There is frost in the forecast in 3 days, so these babies will keep me busy. White Feather. Ugly little plant, but interesting curio. It was a gift. The hosta my mother gave me. You know, the one with the white center? Undulata undulata mediovariegata. Actually, quite a sturdy, generous plant....See MoreHosta A 2021 ..........

I love that Atlantis, everyone’s……. might have to get that one…. debra...See MoreHosta D 2021 ............
Comments (56)Debra, I know you will be fine. But it still sucks to have to go through what you do! Do what you have to do this winter so that you can have fun when the weather gets better! I can understand the loss of both parents. My father died in 2005 and my mother died in 2014. It is strange that they are not here anymore. My mother and I were close and I still miss her every day. Steve, I agree that it was so good that your dad found love again! My father-in-law did also find another love after my mother-in-law died. They didn't married. Too complicated. But they had a relationship for almost 10 years. My father-in-law passed away in 2007---and his girlfriend is turning 99 this week!...See MoreHosta Seedlings and Sports 2021 ...........................
Comments (24)i've got a couple that are close but need more time. they all basically come out of the mcwilliams line. like wildest dreams. i grow streakers from it every year. it takes alot of plants to get a good variegated one. usually takes years to settle, and its unpredictable. too much white either way and it won't grow well enough, or they burn out too much. ...so 15 years working with that one. interesting. i bought a red cadet this year. so will try those genes as well. although driven by the mother riptide. apparently blue cadet came out of tokudama. there are alot of species that people don't work with much anymore. the problem is they stayed too much within their bloom period. i aim to change that....See Morejocl17
