Comments (7)All I can tell you thefof Zone 8/9 UK, is that when Yucca filamentosa blooms, that rosette of leaves dies. The plant does not die. It may have rosettes that did not bloom left. Either way happy ones sprout from the crown post bloom - rosette death, making multiple rosettes more the norm with age. They also self-sow rather well. How that works with monocarpic you will have to tell me. It is most likely Yucca filamentosa. I could possibly be wrong about that. Comments (4)Hi Ken, thankyou for your reply. The power lines are actually pretty far away from the tree... just and angle of the picture. We did get a pretty hard winter but this has happened for the last few years, same symptoms. I removed some of the lower branches in the very early spring to see if that would help.
