CaptainInsano , no I don't sorry. Sounds like you are doing a fine job though!! Sounds like a cool plant to grow, now I want one! Edible tropical fruits are really different than ornamental ones, and my experience with edibles is very limited. I would say to give them as much sun as possible, you probably have to protect them in the winter? If you bring them in, the best method is like when going outside. Slowly expose to the indoor environment, cutting the light slowly, leaving inside an hour or two, put them back out, keep them in an hour longer next day. Slowly exposing them to the indoor environment. And do the same when you put them out in the spring. Just don't leave them in full sun. You may even want to cut back some foliage in the fall. This is where specific advice is needed for this plant, that I don't have. Some tropical's I cut back, others I do not. Some I expose to frost to kick into dormancy, others it would kill them. This year I'm going to overwinter a plant most do not think of as tropical, but it is very tropical and that is a pepper plant. They can live for about a decade. They become small trees.

" I've always gone in spurts with my reading." Me, too, although there is always an undercurrent of at least one book going on. My Biggest Reading Year was 2009. I read 147 books In the last seven months of that year. Part of that mania was getting my first kindle and being able to get books at any moment. I downloaded books in the middle of the night, just because I could. I was like a drug addict in a full police evidence room. Part of it also is that I was taking classes at Oxford that summer and had to read like a maniac just to keep up. For every sentence spoken in a class, you could tell there had been at least five books read on the subject....that's why I quit my book club for awhile afterwards, I could not bear to hear anyone say pettishly, "Well, I just didn't like it, that's all, no reason I can put my finger on really." That frenetic pace slowed down in 2010 when I went back to work full time (and more). This year I am reading even less as we can finally connect our movie screen directly to Netflix and I am catching up on 20 years of BBC and ITV episodes and shows---Foyle's War, Inspector Lewis (which they filmed at the Randolph when I was in Oxford), Spooks, even Pie in the Sky (hanging head here). We havent had tv since 1998 and never had cable so this is all new to me :-)

I've eaten dim sum in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I was thrilled when a good dim sum restaurant opened in the neighborhood in Denver that has a high proportion of Asian residents, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Laotian. Our Japanese residents are mostly in the downtown area with Korean citizens living in both areas and in one of the suburbs, there are some very good restaurants in all these areas along with some very good Indian restaurants but good dim sum was lacking for many years until a small family restaurant in the Denver Asian area, there are long waits on the weekend days, Then about two years ago the same family opened a second restaurant, much fancier than the original, about twenty minutes from our home. The dim sum is just as delicious with a greater selection, on carts or to special order from a list, and the restaurant is very beautiful with large round carved dark wood tables as well as smaller rectangular ones, a very large live fish tank you can select from and beautiful etched glass panels dividing the space. I'm sure a lot weddings and special events are held there. A large raised area at the end can hold three round tables for 10 guests each. Not only is the food really good, the atmosphere lovely, but the family has also managed to maintain the same friendly and good service that is at there original location. No tea ggs though, maybe they are not a dim sum dish. But they are still on my to try list. I live the Virgin diet every day. It should be called the Virgin Lifestyle. This is a good diet for people with intolerances and who have a very difficult time losing weight, but it's great for everyone I think because it makes complete sense and is super natural. It's a ten-week plan to lose weight and discover intolerances. Take out 7 foods for three weeks then reintroduce them one at a time for the next seven weeks. Below I've explained the reasons for taking out these 7 foods. Gluten: contains lectins that bind to insulin, which creates insulin resistance and can make your blood sugars rise, making it hard to lose weight. Gluten is also an inflammatory. Soy: a phyto-estrogen, a plant source of the hormone estrogen. It's also heavily genetically modified. Dairy: like gluten, acts as an isulin resistant. It's nearly impossible to find hormone-free milk. So, hormones and rising blood sugar=acne and fat. There are studies out there that show countries with the highest dairy consumption have the highest levels of osteoporosis. On the contrary, countries that rely on calcium rich foods have a much lower rate of osteoporosis. I've read that the pasturization process of milk breaks down the protein that allows our bodies to absorb the calcium. I believe all this but there is still a huge debate about it. Corn: inflammatory and a high-glycemic food Peanuts: inflammatory and high in lectins. Eggs: inflammatory. If you have sensitivity to corn and soy, eggs might affect you because the chickens are probably fed corn and soy. I have a huge intolerance to fat so another reason eggs bother me. Sugar: we all know that's bad! And don't be fooled by agave necter...higher in fructose than high fructose corn syrup. I'm 5'8 and was 148 lbs. I'm now 135 and holding. In two weeks, my injured knee from subluxation over a year before wasn't hurting and felt stronger. My ankles reduced by 1/2 inch, something I thought was genetic but I guess was just excess fluid. I never really had bad acne, but what I did have cleared up and my blackheads reduced significantly. Also, my menstrual cycle went from seven days to three. My head felt clearer and I had more energy. I rarely have wind or bloated belly as well. The cellulite on my legs reduced by about 50%. I made a point to not exercise the first three weeks to see how effective just changing my diet was. ALL these changes happened without exercise, though of course after the three weeks I went back to yoga. I don't think everyone needs to cut out all of these foods. I also know some people won't have as many changes as I did. But I don't see how it will hurt to try, just to see what changes might happen to you! I think JJ knows what she's talking about. In regards to sticking to it, I cheat every once in a while but I usually feel so bad when I do that I find myself cheating a lot less. Good luck!
