I'm somewhat stuck with the bedroom furniture that is shown in the photos so I need to find a dresser that would match or at least not look odd amongst these pieces. I was hoping for a black wood or darker brown, in a glam/transitional or even a Mediterranean style . as you can see from my rooms layout, it is oddly shaped so my only requirement is that it's tall instead of wide and the drawer are deep. Another option would be a lingerie chest and then a smaller 4 drawer dresser for sweaters, etc. my bed is a med. brown wood color with slight orange tones. Also pictures is a mirrored desk used as a makeup vanity with a matching mirror and a white/mirrored stool. then I have the large standing mirror that is a champagne gold. I've also got a sheepskin rug which I love and looks nice with the mirror I know, nothing is consistent. but for the foreseeable future I'm stuck with what I got so any ideas on a dresser that would not clash with these pieces would be great! also, I'm.currently at a loss for where to place my bedroom furniture! currently the vanity is against the diagonal wall, which looks nice but it leaves me with very few options for where to place the mirror. the bed needs to be on either long wall but I can't decide which. help!

You just moved in so I'd be frugal. First raise the drapes up. Next pick a rug that you like with the colors of the walls, couch ,creamy drapes and other brighter colors (unless you like all neutrals). I went against the traditional rectangular rug shape and used an 8 foot round one in my living room because of too many straight lines. Instead of purchasing new tables paint your existing ones creamy white (popular w/farmhouse). Then add a couple of pillow with color (brights from your rug) or textures (if you like neutrals). Lastly be on the look out for some larger lamps and art that you like.

Ok. That’s good info. Is that a piano in the upper level room? Maybe I was channeling you! I would definitely move the green sofa up there and reupholster two Bergere chairs with a tone on tone pale green fabric. Then do the curved sofas in a neutral tone and put your glass and gold coffee table in between as shown in my layouts. Then add a rice of green art glass to your coffee table. A few tall plants probably Fiddle Fig plants will bring out another green into the spaces. You can tuck the wood and beige transitional chairs in a couple corners if you want additional seating for entertaining. I think a period mirror would be lovely over the living room mantel. Is there a ceiling fixture? If not, I would add a simple but elegant chandelier to the living room. Add a couple floor lamps for additional ambient lighting. If you are drawn to stronger colors, a deep purple would be stunning in the living room. And purple and the green sofa you gave would go together. But, truthfully, if you have another room for the green sofa, to me it doesn’t quite fit these rooms. I have a couple photos I will hunt up for you later this evening.
