Based on these Blueprints and Pics, which way should i lay the LVP?
Comments (24)How much of a flooring budget do you have? You could do planks on the diagonal, or in a herringbone or parquet pattern, and avoid all orientation issues altogether, lol. Or, if you'd rather add windows, there are several rooms with exterior walls that could have windows in them, where running the boards parallel to the stairs would then follow Miss Beverly's rule of running the planks perpendicular to windows. Of course, that means that you'd *also* have planks running parallel to the original windows, and if the generally-accepted architectural ideal is to have rooms with windows on at least 2 sides, I don't see how this rule is followed on a regular basis in well designed homes. :-D...See MoreWhich direction should I lay my LVP flooring?
Comments (6)I disagree I would do the long run infront of you when you enter but the best is too find out how the beams run and do perpendicular to thta to make the fake wood look more real. Please do not put the TV above the FP you have space on the left use a nice cabinet withTV wall mounted on an articulating are above the cabinet .That puts the TV at proper viewing height then a nic ematch cabine on the other side of the FP with a nice piecce of art above to balance the TV then you can either hang more art , just add a nice thick wood mantel and decorate only the mantel...See MoreWhich LVP option would you pick?
Comments (10)People don't like to click on links, people would rather see photos, so I am posting them here. Both floors appear to have too much pattern. If I had to choose between only those two, it would be whichever one is less gray. Floors with a gray tone are particularly difficult. Then you also have a heavily patterned counter. It's going to be too much. Neither floor will work. Most choices in LVP are unfortunately striped. But there are some that are not. Keep on looking for non-striped floors. Comments (5)IMO no real wood sitting on fake wood. Just do an all white kitchen then the LVP and some fabulous granite for the counter . I will say that white cabinet style is not good it looks like you wanted something different but could not figure it out . Wall color last choice along with backsplash.IMO the trim and the white cabinets should all be the same color .I think if this is going everywhere we need to see the other spaces flooring has to work in every space ....See MoreKeen Some
