I'm confused. Are Lifetime Wood Treatment and Eco Wood Treatment the same thing??? When I look at the websites it almost seems that way. They claim that their stuff is used for the same kind of things: Nova Scotia Natural Resources for picnic tables City of Calgary for treating sound barrier fencing British Columbia Ministry of Transportation for highway and municipal sign usage Parks Canada in several national parks Commercial and residential builders in Canada and the U.S. http://www.valhalco.com/questions.htm https://ricochet.heritagewebdesign.com/~bruce16/faq.html And it's described in a similar manner. Any insights?

Lindseed oil is one you sometimes see recommended but it doesn't last long. Depending on climate it could easily require annual re-treatment. valhalco.com LifetimeWood Treatment has worked very well for me on decking and house cedar siding but it isn't cheap. It is approved for organic gardening last I heard. Cuprinol (brand name) and similar products based on acypetacs are considered safe to use around food crops. CWF by Flood is another one that I have read good results about although it does contain a fungicide. Dave

what you've seen is a bead board ceiling. just google it & you'll see the images. you can purchase beadboard in 4'x8' panels or individual boards to install. if you chose the latter put housewrap over the existing ceiling & caulk it at the walls. as these ceilings allow a lot of air leakage from the attic. I hate ceiling tiles. I have them in every room in the house except one. yuck. best of luck
