Would love help on picking out a cream paint color
Comments (18)Ooo I like the FB tallow quite a bit, a little creamier. But i couldnt really judtify the price, let alone have the patience fir delivery, but Home Depot had a formula for imitating that I will get a sample of. Here is an old picture of the place before we added anything and even finished the siding. As you can see it looks more like a hunting shack than a romantic candlelit cabin, and Very small! It has come along way from here but I've just sealed the knots in the pine so it looks a little silly or I would take new pic....See MoreWhite or cream quilt with this BR wall color?
Comments (17)Very helpful! Thank you for your ideas... We recently moved into our newly built home...we've been here 8 months and I have yet to make any decisions! I didn't have a hard time with hubby designing it and making interior decisions such as tile, colors, hardware and such. But, putting stuff on walls, buying furniture? Oy! I've realized I'm terrible at it! I forgot to mention, I did settle on an RH quilt since the garnet hill oat and sea salt weren't quite right; it came and the dimensions weren't as large as their site stated. Loved it otherwise. So,that's what brought me back to the GH white coverlet. Also received a cuddledown swatch today of the diamond piqu collection. Good grief! I just need to settle on something;) Jessica, sharkskin seems to change colors depending on what time of day it is...it goes from green to gray...very dark...I love it! I have seen the pottery barn pick stitch quilts and they look great! I like your suggestion, bestyears, of focusing on texture. By the way...wonderful picture msrose! I wonder what quilt They have? Comments (31)Thanks for sharing the edesign information. I think it's cool she gave you 2 options. I had a local designer help me with colors in my remodel. Overall it was immensely helpful, but I was surprised to get just 1 color recommendation per room. I guess many people just want the designer to tell them what to paint, while I was looking for help in narrowing down options. A design blogger I follow advises designers NOT to give options because it makes the client think the designer doesn't know which color is right... Also re: dark counter--I had mostly settled on black granite in my kitchen, but started second guessing it. I was sure the designer was going to recommend marble-look quartz. She picked up the black sample, said "This is interesting....I LOVE IT!" Now it's in my kitchen, and I love it too!...See MoreWarm blue paint color for this bedroom?
Comments (59)Really depends on you, I think. You were underwhelmed by the beige so I think wall colour “affects” you. I’m that way. I can stand a lot of fugly in my rooms as long as the wall colour feels good. Which is why I’m always committing the decorating faux pas of walls first, bedding and curtains later. :p Some people love dark colours in their home and others want light ones, etc. Some people don’t seem to notice (wall) colour after a while. This couldn’t be more subjective, imho....See MoreRelated Professionals
