Comments (10)I would keep xie shan Satsuma, shasta gold, minneola, and santa theresa - they are best tasting. I would also keep ponkan, kiyomi, kaffir lime, sumo, and Yuzu because they are rarer unique varieties. Cocktail grapefruit is a maybe, it doesn't have much of a grapefruit flavor but is sweet and juicy like a mix of tangelo, orange and mandarin. Kaffir limes don't really taste all that good but the leaves are used in cooking, easy to take care of. Maybe find someone else who wants it. Yuzu is only of interest to those who have in mind various culinary uses for it, using the peel. I have a Yuzu tree that is surviving outside through winter in zone 8a - it is hardier than other citrus varieties. It may be able to survive outside planted in the ground in Vancouver, depending on the exact spot....See MoreYour current favourite gardening magazine?
Comments (6)The only I get is Fine Gardening. I like it, I keep renewing every year. I did subscribe to 2 Million Blossoms last year, and that one was fantastic -- in-depth, interesting articles focusing on pollinators and plants that support them, and the photography alone was worth the price of admission. Sadly, they decided to discontinue their print operation - I was bummed about that, I really enjoyed the magazine. They do still have a website and podcast: 2 Million Blossoms...See MoreHit me with your best biscotti
Comments (21)I haven't dipped in wine, but I could see dipping them in red wine, perhaps a Madeira or Port, although I do not drink those. For red wine, I most often drink Sangiovese. There are lots of liqueurs that would be good, including Amaretto, Frangelico, Godiva Chocolate, Kahlua, etc. I'll have to remember that the next time I make them. I'll have to get some unsalted almonds before I can do that. I think I need to get more Amaretto also, but I'm not sure. We bought more chocolate liqueur at the liqueur/wine store yesterday. We went there because I wanted to get some more Cointreau, even though we're not out yet. I add a tablespoon to the fruit pectin that I take for arthritis, and that seems to work. My brother hates anise, but I think it would taste good in biscotti and would go with wine. I don't drink coffee, and so I do not dunk mine in that. I've been dunking them in tea, but that is not ideal - wine would probably be better than tea....See Morewhich is your favourite bathroom faucet?
Comments (25)I seriously considered the Levoir. It is really simple, beautiful. Then I saw it in person. It is a tank. When you are looking at faucets, be sure to click on a picture of the specs and see the exact measurements. So many American faucets are just gigantic these days, I guess to go in a super sized bathroom??? Anyway, Brizo might be out of your price range. I'd look on Build.com and use their price filters to find a faucet. See if Delta has anything you like. Every plumber I have every talked to loves Delta, Moen second, Kohler third. Delta Nicoli - $135 on Build - Also comes as a single hole, but lines are are not as nice. Your toilet made me laugh. It is huge. I'm a fan of Toto toilets. Good flush, reliable. You are on the right track getting white instead of beige....See Morenekotish
