It really is “the little things…..”

The first: We had to pick DD up at JFK. I try not to be a diva about public restrooms or portable facilities. Me being me, of couse I need a facility when we got to the cell phone lot.

Well, the portables are gone instead two large structures with private stalls and running water.

The second: I buy my Cristmas paper at Costco in bulk and was due to replenish.

I wrapped my first gift last night. The paper is reversible!

Here is one, I am looking forward to seeing the others.

Very cool! PS I love love the paper at HG, they have the best patterns and it has a nice "hand."

I randomly decided to work on a jigsaw puzzle the other day (Eeboo). I very carefully sorted the pieces, and have been "working" hard day by day. Now I am 80% done and at that fun part where every time you try a piece, it fits, IYKWIM? I swear I get a little dopamine flutter each time one fits.

There is another spot to check when things are really smelly...the water discharge pipe that goes into the garbage disposal. I was shocked at the gunk sticking around the hole and under the small lip of the disposal. My local hardware store had a product for the disposal that foamed and cleaned most of the gunk I hadn't gotten with my hand and paper toweling.

If it were me, I'd like it on the living room wall, next to the basement stairs (laundry wall)...I'd put in a built in cabinet on that wall and hide all kinds of extra stuff, including any media equipment or record/cd/movie storage. The basement stairs door would still open (or you could put in a glass/french-door style pocket door) and you'd gain so much storage. That way, you can check messages, charge phones and have easy access to everything in the evening. Maybe it's just me, but i like the answering machine near the TV/living area, so I can go see who called, when I don't feel like answering the phone. Less walking :)

I love reversible paper. Next best is the paper with a grid on the back because I can't cut a straight line.

Speaking of wrapping paper...I was at Rite-Aid the other day for Christmas lights. I had sticker shock at the prices! Being between do I really want to spend "that" much on lights, and having a dark section on the tree, I decided I would put the box in my cart. Then I shuffled over to wrapping paper. The shelf sign said buy one, get TWO free! Wow. I figured I made up the difference on the overpriced x-mas lights right there. I put three rolls in my cart and walked to check out. When my lights rang up, they did so at half off! I got the three rolls of really nice quality and size wrapping paper for $5. So, bargain on all my purchases. I drove home quite content. :)

Speaking of puzzles, it starts when I walk by the puzzle table and say to myself, "Just one piece". An hour later, I forgot what it was I was doing when I walked by the table.

I love grid-on-the -back wrapping paper. I use it to make a pattern when I am making pillows. No need for tedious measuring when the grid has done it for you.

Me too , Fun. (Always think of me as the high functioning fine motor skills challenged seemingly normal lady). Even with the grids...

I went to wrap a few presents with the Hanukkah gift wrap roll left over from last year and the year before, and in addition to the grids on the back (yay!) there is still plenty left for years to come. Not reversible ( that is awesome!) but still. And of course, I cannot remember where or when we bought it.
