Wow - looks really well put together & inviting. I like your color combo of wall / drape teal tone with mustardy- gold throw & neutral bedding. Brass chandelier will be nice touch. I would like larger rug under the bed & extended past the end of bed so maybe just keep your sharp great bargain spotting eyes open for adding that in future.

Maybe hang a plant in the corner? some artwork or something over the headboard?

some larger pillows?

or try some larger ones like this, and do some baskets

or a small bench at the foot of the bed

get some art to hang above the bed. (or paint something yourself! hobby lobby has the items)

Those are great ideas. I was unsure whether to put a picture there or not. I was looking at pictures like these for inspiration. I want a really clean feel and was worried it would feel cluttered? I like the idea of larger pillows. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you!

a properly sized 'something' would be fine over there and not look cluttered. could be art, a photograph, or some other wall decor. just make sure it isn't too big or too small.

Maybe the middle one, but only because of the teal color mat in the frame. I'm not big on th gold frame tho. it's a little too fussy and tradional for the more modern style you're after.

hold out for something better. If you have a camera, take a nature shot and have it blown up and framed. or, look for budget ideas on pinterest or something.

Thank you, Sarah! I like mixing old with flat packed furniture. Sometimes there no around it when your on a budget that you have to use it. Trying to still make it feel cozy and warm..  that "lived in" feeling.

I'd do the rug and a bench (or x ottomans) for sure. something in the mcm realm to go w/your floors.

if you can snag a slat bench, this would be perfect (and if you're handy, these are not difficult to make. )

Ideally, I'd go for the look that these photos illustrate; floating nightstands arriving at mattress height. If you could put some legs on the bed or use a box spring or thick topper with it then you could lower the stands a bit and come close. The mirrors seem to be the "off" note here; in the wrong style and shape for the rest of what you're doing. Keep you eye out for a simple, contemporary art piece that is about 75% of the headboard's width. Or look for a pair of rectangular mirrors. Overall nice hauls you've made!
