You can access some nice backyard landscape plans both at the Fine Gardening website (not sure of the address, but you can find it easily with your search engine) and also at BHG.com (Better Homes and Gardens). Patty

1. Open an account on a free picture hosting site such as Photobucket, Webshots, or Flickr 2. Make your album "public" so others can see your pictures ....If you are using Photobucket: .......got to Account Options .......then, click on Edit Album Settings .......Where it says "My album is", be sure it says "Public". If it says "Private", change it to "Public" 3. Using camera software that came with your camera or other software like Microsoft Picture Manager, resize the pic so it's less than 600 pixels in both directions. [The best way is to reduce the size is by a percentage so it gets smaller in both directions at the same rate...say 15% or 20% of the original size] 4. Upload the picture to your account (see #1) 5. If you use Photobucket, when you see your pic on the site, copy the link from the box labeled "HTML Code" (I don't know where the link is in Webshots Flicker, etc.--I use Photobucket) .....[You can also resize your pic on the Photobucket site] 6. Simply paste the link in your message...you're done! When you preview your message you will see the picture. HTH!

Could you post some photos? Just start a free album at photobucket -- and then click on each photo -- and when the HTML code appears under it -- click and it will be automatically copied -- and just paste it into the body of a message here at GWHD. ((thank goodness for that auto-copy feature! :) And let us know some direction for your choices of artworks -- formal? country? modern? Also -- with that much wall space -- you might want to consider hanging a grid of artworks -- maybe a set of 12 black-and-white photos of local architectural elements or fun shots. ((this is JUST an example!!)) Also -- sets of artworks (duos or trios) might work too. Or how about hanging wall shelves for pretty pieces of pottery? Check places like Pottery Barn or Ballard Designs websites for for IDEAS on artworks -- and do the same at art.com -- simply choose one of their categories that appeals to you -- and start browsing through the selections. IF you find ones that appeal to you -- print off the page -- just to keep track of trends that you like ..... and then can check around stores like Target, T.J. Maxx etc. Also -- check with local colleges and universities to see if they are having art sales or exhibitions ... always fun to go at look! Just some thoughts -- hope you don't mind! :) Jan

If this helps, (and this pic is when we were still working on the kitchen, but it's the only one I have on the computer right now), this is our kitchen. The original cabinets were a light oak (I disliked them a lot!)I painted the cabinets and was worried about the grain showing through. I sanded and primed, and re-sanded and put two coats on, and can't see wood grain. In the pic though, the cabinets facing you still needed another coat of paint! We went with Fiesta Gold granite--but it looks exactly like New Venetian Gold. The fabricators change names sometimes from what I understand. As I was trying to explain above--I personally like white with darker floors. But you mentioned that you are planning to replace the floors. For what it's worth, painting wasn't bad. :) And we've got two kids and a dog running around! Again--bear in mind that this isn't a completed kitchen. No backsplash, pendant lights, bar stools, etc...but it will give you an idea maybe. Here's the granite if it helps at all:
