That's a trestle table. A pedestal table has one center leg supporting the top like the iconic Saarinen table.

These are kind of big and my get in the way of end and corner seating, as the bases take up a lot of room too. Where to put your feet?

All of these rectangular tables are from Cost Plus World Market. Some expand. One has a pedestal the rest are trestle base tables.

You really want a round or oval table to have people sit around the corners.

How about setting a goal of having an attractive and functional piece of furniture? Unless you absolutely despise vacuuming around furniture legs, I don’t see the point of setting the goal of having a pedestal table.

that table looks like the kind where anyone too close to the corners is going to have to put one foot on the base. I find that annoying and uncomfortable. why don't you go look at it in real life? set a chair right at the corner, sit down, and see if your feet feel confined.

There is such a thing as a double pedestal table: usually a very traditional style.

And there are also split pedestal tables where as you add leaves, the pedestal divides and spreads further apart as the table goes from round to oval.
