Comments (37)I see you found the answer . Thank you for liking my closet. No one that sees it guesses it's MDF either. I chose it because of now smooth it is compared to plywood. We were new to woodworking so we'd not discovered carpenters grade plywood like we used to build the bookcases in our library a couple years ago. Linelle I've heard that too about the grit of the sand paper. We usually use the finer grit only between coats of poly. I think I'll edit that above. I was trying to write it while working "in my head" and one always doesn't remember those little details. Thanks!...See Moreprimary bedroom refresh
Comments (11)So pretty :). What about a double sheepskin beside the bed to sink your feet into when you get out? This one from Costco is $60....See MoreSpace Utilization for Modest Primary Bedroom
Comments (11)Thank you all for your expert feedback! This is a 1000 sq foot remodel and addition of 500 sq feet (limited to 500 sq feet by the city). The snapshot I provided is of the remodeled portion. Because of the city's rules, we felt there was no benefit to pulling the garage into the sq footage at this time. We plan on carving part of the garage for a laundry area and a flex space for the kids to play/do crafts. Due to the city only allowing us to add 500 feet we ended up moving more walls than we originally expected. We live in an area where street parking is limited so we like the option of parking in the garage for the few instances where we must. If I had any specific questions they would be: I wondered if those more familiar than myself would suggest reconsidering the 5-foot-wide walk-in closet. I looked at pictures of 5-foot-wide closets and they look a bit tight. My limited experience did not result in me seeing a way to improve, so I thought I’d ask here. I also wonder if two sinks in the primary bath are necessary. I’d rather have the counter & storage space, but I feel this may be a resale must. As we get closer to making final decisions my doubts are kicking in. Once we get started I will not be one of those people who changes her mind! My biggest concern is not using the limited space we have well. I thought I’d put it out there to see if there were options I did not even think to consider. So, thank you all for your kind input....See MorePrimary bedroom color scheme help
Comments (6)IMO bedroom decor really iI think s made easier when the bedding is chosen first . Is all the stuff in the pics already belong to you?I would wait to decide wall color but this bedding could work not to flowery and not too masculine .I think it could be great with the lamps . Can we see the bed please just in a nother comment. This bedding actually has no yellow but gives the impression it is there somewhere . I aslo think it will work with the wall colr. I need to see the bed to give ideas for the night dstands. The bedding is Eddie Bauer Sorry missed the bed picture . So I like a nice simple wood night table hopefully the same colr as the headboard.I do not lovet duvets but coverlets are awesome like this one i show . All the walls the blue then a nice lime green throw a chair like the one in the pic but another color and then window coverings . Ilove drapes in a bedroom for a nice cozy fee and you coud do a nice linen in the palest of of yellow . I would do wider night tables for sure ....See Moremtnrdredux_gw
