The Dimension you linked above has the adjustable cutlery tray. What I meant by "split" is that one section can be taken out if you have something extra tall in the basket below. But the cutlery tray itself is the must-have. That model also has the china/crystal mode and a tweak that lets you clean something heavy duty on the bottom with crystal in the middle (nice!). Also has Express, which is the quick cycle I liked a lot (though others have said they don't use it). The one you linked is integrated but not fully. Meaning, controls are on the outside and the cabinet panel fits on below them. So the dw can be seen -- that also gives you the countdown. And handle doesn't stick out and isn't huge. Downside is you see there's a dw there and some with little ones don't want buttons outside to tempt them. Fully integrated models have controls on the inside top of the door, completely hidden. Kiddos cannot see/push them as easily (if that's an issue) and the panel covers the entire dishwasher door. Usually folks match the handle to the rest of the cabinets. So it looks like a cabinet vs like a DW. Downside of this style is the DW is so quiet the fully integrated can be mistakenly opened while running even though a red light does show below the counter when it's on. antss made some good comments on the duplicate thread in kitchens -- explaining the overall differences between top and bottom of the line machines. Another thing is that these are engineered to use rinse aid in addition to detergent -- you may be aware of this. Perhaps some posters with this model can comment more specifically.

Everyone is entitled to express their opinions. xedos is one of the most knowledgeable, reliable and trusted contributors to this forum for many years. But declarations like "The Asko is world above the Miele in every way!" are opinion, not fact. I had an Asko washer that needed a controller board which could not be purchased -- not anywhere in the world. I even tried to get one in Australia. The washer had been used full time for only 2 years. I had a Viking kitchen that has been slowly replaced over the past 10 years -- every appliance purchased for the kitchen had some repair issue, chief among them the oven which was bought back. Heat setting decals are now beginning to wear off the third cooktop as they did on the previous two. The refrigerator had a freon repair (equivalent to heart surgery) 3 door recalls for hinge failure, a new controller board and failed door seals. The vent hood draws, which is as much as one can say. No one here is making money off recommendations in any way. What you call "bashing" is hardly that from an owner who has been obliged to replace expensive appliances within 10 years. xedos gets that. Glad to hear your Viking range is working well. Hope that continues because if it's older than 2 years and you need a part you will see why some of us urge caution with brands like Asko and Viking that have unfortunate history.

sreedesq, I don't know if yo've made your decision, but I had my Benchmark installed yesterday. There is a similar difference in dB level between my older unit and the new one. Can I tell the difference? Yes. Could everyone? I'm not sure. If your sound sensitivity and the room situation demand the quietest possible, them do the upgrade. If quiet enough that you will often (not always) have to check whether the DW is running and not have to raise your voice or TV volume is good enough, then anything in the mid to low 40s should make you happy.

On the G6745, half of the cutlery tray(your choice) can slide aside to allow tall items to poke up through where the cutlery tray was for cleaning. Miele was the company who came up with the ideaof this area for cleaning cutlery. We brought our dishes; 3 of each plates; 2 of each sized bowls, coffee mugs and different sized glasses, and placed them in the 40 series Asko, the Benchmark bosch, and the G6745/Dimension. We are presently awaiting the G6745, expecting next week. Our Optima died, and we're replacing it with another Miele; if the water inlet line was the still the same as our Optima, it would have made our picking a dishwasher more difficult.
