Replacing flooring on concrete slab house.

Does the old flooring need to come up 1st before replacing with new flooring?

I now have ceramic tile an engineered hardwood. I want LVP

I realize if I have VLP put down on top of what I have now even with all the barrier stuff installers can use an the barrier already on flooring to be installed I am taking a chance on a moisture problem later. Would that problem probably be contained in 1 room?

I am older have maybe 20 yrs to live in my home.

WHY do I want to replace floors. They sound IDEAL right? The ceramic tile I have is very shinny and slick. The hardwood is not practical with a house with a pool. I can not get in my house from pool without getting on hardwood floor because the ceramic is so slick.

The wood floor does have some damage couple of boards in middle of flooring have came loose an the floor needs refinished.

Would it be cheaper to repair an refinish hard wood an replace the ceramic tile with LVP?
