I do the same thing using vintage medical enamelware irrigators. The irrigators are not always cheap but they are collectible and I have a thing for enamelware, comes from growing up on a farm I guess. There is a spout the used to hold surgical tubing but I simply fill the bottom of the container with packing peanuts and then pour the excess water out of the spout and rehang. I have eight plants hanging like this now and several more to go into empty irrigators I have waiting. Each irrigator is around 2 liters so they are good for most small to medium Hoyas. Here's to using all available surfaces to grow our Hoyas! Here is Hoya sp Sulawesi GPS 8863 which is most likley Hoya pallilmba. Hoya sp. Ok, first of all, REPOT IT. Get rid of the soil it is in. Hoya prefer a well-draining medium. Fine orchid bark mixed with perlite and coarse sand (all found in the same area at Lowes) will do. Mix equal parts (1-1-1) of each. Soak overnight. Before potting the hoya in the new mix, soak the plant for about 15 minutes to loosen the soil (soil is not good for epiphytes, which use their aerial roots to attach to, and grow up, trees. Remove as much of the soil as you can (the more, the better). Repot in the well-draining medium. In about a week, check the pot. If the first 2 inches are dry, water. Use a water soluble or liquid fertilizer at 1/4 strength (winter) every time you water. In the summer, boost the amount to 1/2 strength. Usual strength is one teaspoon for most fertilizers, so in the winter, it would be 1/4 teaspoon, and in the summer, 1/2. Hope I have helped!

Looks like a carnosa. Of course, there are so many carnosa X carnosa crosses AND carnosa X pubicalyx crosses in circulation, that it is next to impossible to narrow it down to a specific cultuvar. It is a very pretty specimen, regardless!

The one with the narrower leaves is shepherdii. Sometimes called "string bean hoya". I'm a fan! They are additive like Pokemon cards. Once you get one, I promise you will want more! They don't grow as fast as Pothos. But maybe that is part of their charm, the anticipation! One little leaf, one little bloom, it's all a thrill. And there are so many varieties! Get one! Get two. :-) Go down the rabbit hole and keep on going.
